to be personal, i liked the makoto from the manga version, where he is more shy and patient about sex, then the one from the anime. the only thing that fucked him up in the manga was sekai since she couldn't let go. in the end, i think the fault of the whole thing that made go down hill was mostly on sekai because she had a good chance to go out with him long before katonoha, but chose to show her feelings while he was already taken. who do you think is to blame here, makoto, or sekai?

@KilLtheFlamEwithFir3 if u think about it, makoto and sekai aren't the only ones at fault. i bet that if any of the major-ish characters had done somethign about the situation, everyone's deaths could've been avoided... -_-
honestly all of them are fucking nuts... Otome Katou was my favorite cuz she didnt go psycho... what i was confused was when he was fucking Otome Katou... like what the fuck? why was she fucking him? it just took me for a spin last few episodes like i thought Otome Katou liked the other guy just so confusing

Makoto...I HATE him after he cheated on Kotonoha, though, I still liked the SekaiXMakoto parts. I stopped watching after episode 7, I couldn't take the drama and I just read spoilers for the ending XD.
Lol yeah I did not like what he did to Kotonoha either. Yes, I do favor Sekai and I kike Setsuna also. Sekai was just cool even though she had her own plot of her own. I dont care for Makoto either. Hes not worth all those girls x_X
If you ask me I think they're better without him. I mean he was a dick for leading them both on like that. Thank god he died in most of the endings.

In my opinion, Makoto's death was; His fault, and Sekai's Fault.
Makoto: Not being true to Kotonoha, and basically using her as a replacement, and Cheating on her.
Sekai: Makoto had sex with 6 other girls and she didn't do crap until he kissed Kotonoha. WTF!? (Then killing him.)
