PAL & NTSC are two different video standards, so they needed separate games.

They actually made 4 separate ones. NTSC 1.0, NTSC 1.1, NTSC 1.2 and PAL. They fixed bugs and tweaked the game to their liking with each version. Some people argue that PAL is the more balanced one and the version we're meant to play because it's the most recent, but IIRC NTSC 1.2 came out after PAL so..

Why are NTSC & PAL so drastically different from eachother?

If your coming from Pal to another version for a National tourney you should study and now what your doing. No need johning of " how he came from pal version". Study the differences and use them in the match. Your a pro player traveling across the world to play, you should be know what you are getting into

Good edgeguarding means you have to know how and which method to edgeguard with, despite the situation. This is only one example of Over messing up, though, so it's not very correct to say his edgeguarding isn't as good as m2k's (unless he messed up edgeguarding many times).

Shieks side step is amazing. I love watching good shieks play, the US smash community as a whole I think is sleeping on her due to our inches of improvement in her metagame compared to Falco and Marth. Simple still works but good shieks now have to understand how CC-ing works and good DI to get out of evolving Fox Marth and Falco combos etc.

Over and Amsah's Sheiks probably have the best on-stage game of any sheik playing today, but they need to take M2K's example in their edgeguarding games. Every time I see a fox/falco survive after a sheik knocks them off I just can't help but think that if it were M2K they'd be dead.

Over could have won this match at 3:40 or even match 2 if his edge game was as good as M2K's. No doubt their edge game is GOOD but you can't honestly say that it's as good as M2K's.

Though I guess it's worth pointing out that even Armada seemed to mess up edgeguarding more than usual...maybe they were just nervous from the crowd or whatever. Seriously though no disrespect to the players they're all amazing, just saying their edgeguarding game seems to not be as strong.

M2k's edgegame (quoting Amsah here) is good because he has a lot of knowledge of the US metagame. I think it's obvious what I'm trying to point out.

Also, Over could've won if he nair'd M2k out of his side-b in the second game. He used nair twice that game predicting M2k's side-b, he was a little bit too slow both times. I don't think saying Over's edge game is bad is fair.

actually Over could have just been hoping m2k would pull back/ not forwardb quite as quickly instead of forward b'ing so quickly. if he had done the nair sooner and m2k did the forward b later it also wouldn't have connected. m2k did a quick forwardb twice, perhaps over assumed he would mix it up the second time and go for the sweetspot as opposed to forwardb'ing onto the stage thru him.

I'm pretty sure my edgeguard (and Over's) are on par if not better than M2ks. It's just that edgeguarding Fox is slightly different in NTSC than what we're used to. The bigger hitbox and longer recovery distance (even though I practiced NTSC) threw us both off a couple of times.

That's Over, not me. And in PAL that would've hit, and even if it missed Fox's UpB wouldn't have hit him, which is what ruined his edgeguard.
