  • If you're working your ass off you are a man. If you are sitting your ass on wall street, I'm not sure what you are.

  • Im a US Marine i lost my older brother in cobat. We were both fighting in the same city. Just a few miles away his whole platoon was caught in an ambush, and by the time my platoon got there only two had survived. I had to carry my brothers body back to base that night. My brother is a man.

  • @datbomb98 Hey man, I am really fuckin sorry it played out like that. Im over here but dont have it as bad, still hits home every damn time i read a story like this.

  • @aithelfirth i just woke up for a morning jog literally haven't checked email or my youtube in months in my eyes he died a hero and from what I've seen lately people don't think too highly of soldiers which is a shame they call us stupid or retarded when most of them aren't through high school I dont know one soldier who thinks killing is good I mean we do it to accomplish a greater goal but just because a soldier kills a TERRORIST who is posing a threat to himher what would they do

  • @datbomb98 Forget those people. You have to do what it takes to get yourself and our people home safe. If that requires stopping some asshole with deadly force, so be it.

  • 1:10- 1:58 .. almost brings tears to my eyes remembering my friends that i lost , 3 of them a yr ago... tough sitin around talkin 2 your friends and your officer comes in and tells you that your friend has just gave the greatest sacrifice of all, and that he wouldnt want you to feel bad.. tough stuff out there, war is not joke

  • This song is an awesome song.... but unforunately there arent to many real men left out there. My dad was a real man... he worked 2 jobs to support me. He was a single father who would do anything for me and he still will :) I love my dad more then anything and Im happy to know he will always be there for me

  • I've known Jack for many years and he is really a great guy. When my son (USMC) was deployed to Iraq in 2004, Jack was sweet enough to donate a supply of his CDs, each one individually autographed, for care packages being sent over to my son's platoon. He's just a good ole Texas boy.

  • Interesting vid>>>>>watch?v=IYMKQKSV0bY

  • 5 adults still rely heavily on their parents.

  • @ Itachi Being a female in the military is not near as tough as what some make it out to be. We all want and fight for the same things. My best "battle buddies," were guys. All of us were different ages, sizes, races, religions, and very different back grounds. You learn to love when you work alongside them, regardless whether you started out hating them. At the end of the day, you're still a soldier, a warrior, and a member of one of the largest families in the world.

  • To all servicemen and women who read this From The Bottom of MY Heart THANK YOU for your service and dedication. Without your service we wouldn't be free. When you feel noone cares what you have done and what it has costed you. I very much care. Know that I am praying for you daily and are always in MY Thoughts and Prayer everyday, 365 days a year.

  • I just got back....funny...about 8 months ago I left a comment saying I was thinking about joining and then I ended up doing so. I love Military police!! I was gone for 20 weeks from family and friends but it was so worth it in the end.

  • I leave for parris island this sunday. cant wiat to become a man. wish me luck. Semper Fidelis

  • Fantastic song! Touching words...

  • i love this song. its soo true.

    Semper Fidelis

    i love my marine.

  • Truly an amazing song. I find myself thinking of it when I act in life. When I get up in years I hope people look back and say now he was a real man.

  • Semper Fidelis means Always Faithful. it is the Marine Corps motto

  • Always faithful

    Amen to that

God bless those Marines out there!

Send them Tide for their dress uniforms lol :=)

  • and Elmer's glue!

  • my daddy worked two jobs to support me and my mama and hes been there from day one

  • A guy who tells nothing but the truth no matter how hard THATS A MAN ! :D

  • amen to that :)

  • semper fidelis means always faithful talking about my faithfulness to the marine corps, god, country, community,

  • Semper Fidelis is Latin for "Always Faithful". It has just been shortened so the Marines can use it as their motto but the meaning is the same.

  • sounds like how we work all work for a better life

  • Marines will always be my first love, *semper fi* but I'm learning to love the Army. They all do their jobs in respect to each other. Marines are just well known and more distinguished as the toughest branch, and which they rightfully are. This is coming from a girl who is in the army. :) I'd lay my life down to protect what is mine.

  • thank ya for serving! im actually planning on joining the reserve or guard for college, then joining the marines

  • God Bless you!

    GOOD LUCK!!! :=)

  • thank you, and God bless you and your family also

  • you have gotta hear this song by adam brand it is so beautiful

  • I like this song

wtf is is up with all those chain messages its so retarded you might aswell write "IM A FUCKING RETARD" it would have same effect

  • this song speaks the truth...

  • screw you. man that's pain right there. losing a brother

  • 2 letters is all i have to say : F U !!!!!

  • You can't SAY anything queer!

  • Seriously dude, you write a message like that and how could you not expect to garner anger from others?

Soldiers, marines, Airmen and Sailors lose brothers and sisters in arms over here every day.

As a person who would fall into that category, I understand and appreciate the message he's trying to send with that particular stanza of the song. 'Cause nobody really knows just how hard we try every day to keep our buddies alive.

It's relevant to the overall message this song sent.

  • Crap. My shift key skills fail me again.

Apologies to my friends in the USMC.

Marines, with a capital M damn it.

  • they all do the same amount of work nothing different and my dad as a veteran of THE UNITED STATES ARMY SAYS GO ARMY

  • angrywhite, he is not trying to sell us his "BS" as your put it. he is saying that even though there are a ton of people in the world that are getting by, feeding off the accomplishments or detriments or others, there are still some people in the world that are true. we should all hope to be so lucky, i will be in the Marine Corp. soon and i would lay down my life for my brothers and sisters!

  • It is true. But they still are helping the war effort.

  • Thanks for your service.

  • i agree with you 100 percent you couldnt be more right

  • @adelg88 Not from where we live.

  • @adelg88 Sorry I accidentally voted down when I ment up. I'm from the south and we barely get by, I mean we are happy one big family but still...

  • @aurorasoftball i live out in bum-fuck PA. i cant wait to finish up college and move to TN

  • @adelg88 I live in missouri, no jobs, we count on the crops, and if you have noticed, it costs more to plant then what they sell for.

  • @aurorasoftball

Here in Missouri, my family had a cattle ranch. Basically need another job to do it.

  • @adelg88 lol just remember its Marine Corps...they light kids up for that.

  • My mom and I refer to him as "Cheap Seats" when talking about him because we were at the Post Gazette Pavillion in Burgettstown, PA to see him and Trace Adkins and he looked up into the lawn seating and was like...."oh, how are all of y'all up in them cheap seats?" and then a few minutes later he was like "Oh, do I see a fight up there in them cheap seats?" Lol. It was so funny at the time.

  • this song makes me cry

epecially when the marine's friend dies

    i cry soooo much :(

and to think me spend billions of dollars paying these dam anerexic celeberties just to act

    WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

People like the ones in this song keep our country alive, we would be nothing without them.

Celeb get payed millions of dollars a year just to act and it benefit us in no way at all!

    just entertainment!

farmers can barely make enough money to live on and they grow the food we need!

  • thats ma favorite song. people bitching about thing like they cant go here or there, need to watch this.. cause there are to many people fight to keep their jobs and suppose there loved ones.

  • I know a man and its my brother Billy Ray!

  • Damn i wouldn't be able to go threw all of that

  • There's not many real men.............

When I look at the cuts and blood on my hand after a long day of work I always see that it is worth it

  • Great song reminds me of a friend who is looked down upon because he works constantly just to pay for the bare necessities for him, his girl, and his fopur kids.

    God Bless America!!!

  • your friend is a real American!!!

I really wish people would stop putting so much stock on what job you have or what car you drive.

  • jack ingram reminds me of a country tom petty.

  • this song is awsome i love it. im a farm kid and i dont get why they have a guy sittin on a road grader when they're talkin about the farmer in the song. they shoulda shown a guy bailin hay or plowin a field on a REAL tractor. they do falsh an image of a guy standin in front of a 7110 though but i mean come on... a road grader!?

good song but the videos dumb

  • this song was likely produced by "city-folk" with business degrees. They likely don't know squat about tractors :)

  • ya proly did

  • Great song

  • GOOD SONG! People dont realize how hard it is for blue collar workers to get by, the people out there workin on the farm day in and day out, and all the other hard workin men and women that do all they can and dont earn nearly enough money. Its these sorry ass ignorant fucks out here who just dont understand, they never faced a hard time in there life cause mommy and daddy always provided for em!

  • Hang in their kid!!! Love your mom, help her anytime and anyway you can. Stay strong, be a better person then your dad. Never let your own kids down. I lived your life and I'm going to make ure my kid doesn't!!

  • thanks!!!!

i do love my mom more than ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! but it's hard not 2 do anything cuz i don't have a job......

hopefully, i WILL be a better person than my dad.....but i think it's in the blood??? he's dad was like that too....i think......

and when i have kids, i won't do that.....but i'm not gonna think about that til later....i'm only 15!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey dont worry about it being in the blood or anything my dad was the same way your dad is and dont worry about not having a job to be able to help if all you can do is do the dishes and cook every now and then that is enough.
