just tried this update it was all working till i got to the android screen then i waited and waited and waited and nothing happened but nothing did so i tried the other boot and now it is just staying at the Viewsonic starter page can anyone help me
A very good ROM! Responsive, quick and professionally done. Make sure you start with a clean Gtab for best results. The bluetooth works on a dime. Wifi connected no problem. Market and the only process that took an extra step was amazon market and they might have changed their policy not necessarily this ROM. Great job!
i had the same everything as your wifes but instead of the seeing the word android on the reboot its just a blank screan. Did i do something wrong? I followed your video completely and identically to youres
Hello Nice Video, I did this 2 months ago, but I sell the Gtable, the new owner was trying to delete all data but now when it turns on it reboots continuously, I did this again but now is just the Viewsonic screen!! Can you help me with that??
Very nice video,I appreciate the time you took to make the video.. I just have one complaint, you leave out alot of steps, you assume everyone will be able to guess correctly..FAIL What ever happen to KISS,[keep it simple stupid.] Just my thoughts. Again thanks.
Error in the market if any get the download error after the instalation of gtabcomm 3.3 just install the new version of the market from 3.1.5 and up and problem solved!!!
Ok, do I am a total idiotic moronic retard on this stuff, so forgive me. It looks soooo easy, but I got this gtab with vegan already on it and I want to delete it and go with this. It looked like you only needed the 1 file to do this. Am I correct?
Epic fail.... Your video is amazing and it appears to be so simple. I have bootload 1.2 and have followed the instructions to a T. Everything goes perfectly fine right up to the final reboot. Instead of getting the android screen mine simply hangs at the Viewsonic Bird screen. I have let it sit there for over 30 mins on 2 attempts now. Any suggestions? Anyone?
many thanks for a practical, complete guide even this newbie can follow.
rec'd my tablet yesterday, increased ROM partition from 200MB to 250MB with NV Flash installed Clockwork Mod and followed this video step by step. no problems, no issues and a fast stable tablet for hundreds less than a Xoom.
I had to post a follow up to this video. GtabComb is absolutely stunning. If this is a beta, I can't wait to see what the "real thing" is going to be like. Apps such as Evernote & Dropbox are absolutely essential to me & they both work great. I'm also pleased to say that syncing with my Exchange Account (mail & calendar), Adobe Reader, and the Market all work perfectly. 5 Stars!
Edge, thanks so much! The instructions were great, and the ROM works very well! I also moved from VEGAN tab which was great, but this is Honeycomb and faster. A few minor issues with Flash, but overall great!
another great video edge! finally going to upgrade my tablet to this one after a long delay and messing around with my touchpad want a tablet ui on my gtab quick question was curious if when you have this new rom if you have access to the honeycomb apps in the market? or just the same other apps we had access to in the last version? thanks.
@dragon3983 the market brings to you all the apps, honeycomb, icecream, gingerbread, u dont find them every rom separately, so some apps are optimized to play on honeycomb
Good video, I'm anxiously waiting for the arrival of my G Tablet & will be replacing the stock ROM. Gtab 3.3 appears to be stable enough, with the exception of the camera not functioning correct? Could you comment on how apps such as Dropbox, Evernote, and QuickOffice (or equivalent) work? Is there a "dragon dictation" type input & how well does it work? Does Skype (audio) work? Lastly, how's working on Google Docs via the browser? Thanks again!
Hello there, Thank you so much for this video, Now I have Gtab 3.3 on my tablet. but somehow it won't play youtube, any suggestion? I am a newbie on tablet.
On Vegan 7. is the camera working fine? can I use skpe ?
So in order to go from Vegan Tab 5.1.1 (which is the current ROM I have on here) to GtabComb (what I plan to put on here), I have to NVFlash to get back to stock first?
And, does it matter if I already have Clockworkmod installed on my gTab? Thanks in advance!

I got gtabcomb up & running fine, but didn't realize the camera was a known issue... now i would like to go back to the vegan-tab rom I was using before. I backed up as instructed in your video, what's involved in reverting back to my previous vegan-tab? Thanks!
gTabComb 3.3 beta works quite well for me (so far)... I updated from VeganTab 5.1.1 using the very same steps in your video... no problems encountered along the way :) Thanks for the nice vid man :)
I tried to flash this rom yesterday and got stuck in a boot loop at the white Android cracking screen. After about 90 seconds of that screen the tablet just turned off. I have flashed dozens of roms and not sure what do to next. I tried to post on the xda thread but it was closed. do you think i should start from a fresh nvflash? i've wiped everything multiple times when doing new flash i'm just stuck with what to try next. Any suggestions?
i have question. Should i replace the update.zip file and recovery file. Because when i want to install them into the internal SD memory of the Gtablet it asks me if i want to replace it. All of it is done via USB connection.
Gtabcomb looks awesome and i would just like to know if u found anything to be lagging or slower than it should be and wats isn't working on thing rom and thanks for the awesome video :)
im trying to put honeycomb on my gtablet but I cannot get into recovery mode. If I hook my tablet to pc the recovery folder is empty? i hold down the volume+ goes to the white gtablet screen, then black screen with white box, then just reboots...
I have Andriod OS 2.2, TAP UI TnT Lite v4.4.0, Kernel version 2.632.9-00001-g6e47897-dirtyclemsyn@clemsyn-MM061 #221. How would I install the Gtabcomb 3.3?
@lhproscia xda-developers has a page dedicated to figuring out which bootloader version you have, and which route is best for you. Please check it out; I don't want to make a mistake in giving out the wrong info.
@lhproscia dont worry my tablet is now a coke stand i cant get the piece of shit to work with any of the new roms I might just start using it as a tennis racket.. its really nerve racking when you follow all the effin steps and yet the pos still is stuck... so much hatred still lingers in me!!!
@jcdario1203 actually thanks to this guy and his 22 min vid he happened to do a step in which nobody on fuckin youtube could mention!!!!! EHyundai!!! you the shit :-) so mr ehyundai and this video pretty much got my tablet working... however this rom is kinda buddy and quirky takes a long ass time to boot fyi.. btw wtf is up with people giving out or making worthless tutorials that have nothing to do with helping???. Fuck Xdadevelopers they dont answer shit.. nor does any fuckin guide!!!
@lhproscia as u said it in the xda page has a dedicated page to gtablet and there u will find tutorials about how to flash gtablet, or google gtablet for dummies, there are a lot of roms included honeycomb and few ways to flash your tablet, internal card, externad sd if somehow u brick it, there are tutorial about how to unbrick it

I have a question. I'm on the same Rom your wife was running VeganTab 7 RC1. Is it possible for me to save my application settings somewhere and then install this rom and pickup where I left off? My son plays tap fish and doesn't want to lose all his fish or his Angry Bird settings:-) Any assistance or instruction would be great:-)
Another great video!!! I saw you used the CWM backup feature in the video. Where does it put that file (directory) and how big is it? Ever tried to restore from it? Have you tried Flashback?
@pnndo2a it goes into a folder called clock work mod and then into backup i have restored from it on my gtablet (before it broke) and now on my thunderbolt and it works great also depending on the apps and changes from 200 mb to 550+
thanks a lot man, had a flawless install. I used your vids to go to Vegan 7, and now this. Vegan 7 worked so well, I wasnt sure if I wanted to do this, but I gotta have that sweet sweet honeycomb!
Hi, I've found your video very useful. I am very excited to do my first rooting. Too bad, I have to wait for my Gtab (actually 2 for my kids) to come tomorrow.
Can I use the process you demonstrated here to back up your wife's Gtab VEGAn 7.0 ROM, to back up my Gtab's stock ROM TapnTap, before doing the upgrade to gTabComb 3.3? If not, what's the best way?
