  • Can anybody help me I am fairly new to riding motorcycles and I am looking to buy a 2010 CBR 600, R6, or a GSXR 600. I am not getting a bike to race or do any kind of tricks on I am just looking for a nice easy to ride good looking bike to cruise on. I was leaning towards the 2006 GSXR 600 over tthe 2010 model just because I like the looks of 06 better but from what i read people say the R6's are better beginner bike. I am just wondering what I should get.

    amuse toi bien...

  • @cell511 Power definitely go for the CBR600 also it's amazing to look at. The GSXR was ridden by my boyfriend, and he said the performance is good but it's different from other bike for example as you let your clutch out slowly and let your revs off, you have to let the clutch out fully for it to start moving. R6's are very nice bikes and fast. But in my opinion for my first, I'd go for the good old, Suzuki preferable a bandit (better for cruising) Hope that was helpful. :)

  • @cell511

Cbr600rr, great riding position, better build quality and I wouldnt buy new for your first bike, trust me, get some riding experience first.....

  • @urbanspirit600rr Hi, ive mastered riding a scooter (with a clutch) can i get this now?

    - Thanx

  • @zlyable

    errrr...no.....lol

  • @urbanspirit600rr bullsht - yo ar ridin the bike - cbr 600 rr isa good training bike . just take a look into the corner and the cbr ist heading..

  • @1Rokstar1 read my comments again I state wouldnt buy new for your first bike...doh

  • @cell511 the only advice i want to give you is not to buy a brand new bike as your first one you are better of with a little older model. and always wear good protective clothing so not just a helmet and gloves, just make sure you have a propper leather jachet and pants.

  • @cell511

i got r6 as my first bike in july...has a high seat but im use to it already

  • @cell511 dont think go for cbr check my video

  • @cell511 woah woah woah, if your a new rider (new to riding on the street that is doesnt matter if youve ridden dirt bikes all your life) the last thing you should get as your first bike is a sport bike like this or a gixxer or whatever, look at something like the sv650 or the fz6r (i recommend the fz6r as its an inline 4 rather then a twin) cause a full blown sport bike is too much for a beginner, take it from me man ive been riding 10 years and race semi pro (would go pro but i have...

  • When I was a beginner, the first bike I rode and owned was/is an 07 CBR 600. Learn your bike, learn yourself. Respect your bike, respect yourself. If you handle the bike with some good measure of control and ride within your limits, you should be fine. Sometimes you can't help gravel being in the road you know?

  • @Styxorcist well one it could just be around here (cause everyone i see takes the test on a scooter then takes out their daddies gixxer 1k) but its still dangerous for a new rider, and im not really saying its not possible to learn (if ur mature enough) on a sport bike, but those that start on a learner bike ultimately become better riders, valentino rossi didnt start on super bikes he started on 50cc bikes (if i remember right)...

  • @Styxorcist ...like my little brother has been riding for 2 years now (on a learner bike) and hes already better then my cousin who has been riding for 6 years (and started on a sport bike) maybe it runs in the family with my brother (only reason i say that is cause im sponsored) but if i didnt start on a learner bike i might not be as good as i am...then again theres no real way to tell

  • @thrasha666 Good rationale. Well met sir.

  • @cell511 ...a career that i happen to love and want to stick with) feel free to message me, i can say this though, 1 out of 10 people i talk to actually listen to what i say (what with starting out with a beginner bike) but that 1 person is a better rider after one month than the other 9 are after a whole year, a learning on a super sport bike is like trying to learn how to swim when your 2 months old, they are very unforgiving and take alot of throttle and clutch control so you dont wreck

  • @cell511

    Buy ZX6R, its much better

  • @cell511 if it is your first bike do not get a brand new one because you will drop and or wreck it withitn your first months of riding, no one bike is better as a beginner bike than any other, a crash on a 1000cc going 50mph is the same as a crash on a 250cc going 50. Just don't be stupid and respect the bike, gear up and ride safe. Start off on a used bike.

  • @cell511 LOL

I think you already fount out about is, but the R6 is the most aggressive streetbike, especially the r6 from 06 upwards. The honda has always been one of the easiest to ride bikes ;)

  • @cell511 CBR all the way. Best ride. Most comfortable bike.

  • @cell511 You were stirred in the wrong direction when you heard the R6 was the beginner bike, The R6 is a great bike! but its made for the track and nothing but the track. GSXR will be a very comfortable ride in comparison to the R6 or Ninja. i have never rode a CBR before so i couldnt tell ya, hope this helps.

  • @cell511 a cbr600rr is the easyer bike to ride and better for a newer rider

  • @cell511 how about zx6r???? KAWASAKI NINJAAAAAAA

  • @cell511 dude, those gsxrs are hella nice, but i'v heard the yamaha's are kinda a hardcore bike for a beginner. But u posted this comment 5 months ago, probly got a bike by now, what'd you end up gettin?

  • @cell511 r6 is the best for the track but not for the street!

  • @cell511 If your a beginner then think about a 600 bandit or the new 650 bandit quick enough to frighten you and not as expensive to run!

  • @cell511 suzuki is very good but is made a bit more for racing. honda is by far the best bike for the street and every day use. I owned an 09 cbr1000rr and it was like a dream. I had a very strange feeling when I rode my friend's suzuki gixer 1000. it was heavy and my body position was a bit leaning forward putting pressure on my shoulders and wrists.

this comment came very late, you probably bought a bike by now. so good luck and ride safe.

    cheers from Saudi Arabia :)

  • @cell511 yo the first bike i actually started riding was a 08 gxsr 600 it only had 8500 miles on in i bought it for 2900 the same day i got it i took it to a suzuki shop to have them make sure everything was good it was me being me i changed the oil to a good synthetic @ put a good airfilter on tht was it & had a blast riding & learning with it i grew with tht bike by my 2nd month of riding it i was pulling wheelies in second & i am now riding a cbr1000rr & im always confident when i hop on

  • Beau-ti-ful!

12000euro is almost 18000 australian dollars, which is VERY expensive for us.

not that the 2010 model is available yet in australia, we get everything much later down here :)

Looks like its worth it though.

  • yes is very expensive for your contry

  • @IstanbulRider buy it on ebay for $7800 and have it shipped.

  • @IstanbulRider Is that how much they are down there? I remember them being more expensive last time I was there but, Damn I am moving there next month permanently from Canada. I just sold off my Kawi and am going to be picking up a 600rr when I get down there. $18000, geez maybe ill have to find a nice 08 on Elizabeth st. Or do you know of any good used private sale sites for Melbourne?

  • @stokesc888 Dude, no i was just converting the euros for aussie dollars. They're not available here in oz yet, so noone knows what price they will be. atm, they go around 15K rideaway.

  • @IstanbulRider Ah thank god, I can deal with 15k.
