I *love* this collection! I was raised on '60s rock, '60s and '70s R&B, and *this*, and I'd like to think my musical tastes are above average as a result. Anyway, these songs are all warm, comforting blankets from my childhood and if the compilation features the full-length songs instead of horribly truncated versions, I would LOVE to get it!
How the hell is it Rock? LOL, It's closer to R&B than Rock. and anyways, these categories were made up by people just like you and me. They're not even categories, as a matter of fact, they're sub-categories. So I won't even get into the semantics of music classification, but I still say it's white folks R&B :). Just like country is white folks blues, LOL. None of it actually matters anyways. Just humans trying to define an art form which we all know is abstract anyways.
I wish my gf would have said the same thing to me...instead when we saw this list and I said how awesome it was she just laughed and called me an old man...I'm 21 and love these songs...comes from not being able to chose what you want to listen to in the car growing up lol....

me and my GF were tv last night and i said how awesome the song list was and she was like yaa we should fuck to this song and i forgot what the collection was called BUT NOW! I FOUND IT! thank youtube!
WTF??!! you call this not music?! maybe you love hannah montana so much, this kind of songs/band, will never be forgotten, not like today....you are so stupid...
They will all be forgotten eventually. That's why I try to expose my kids to different things, cause noone else will. It's a simple fact though that all you teach is not all you learned. It's like ripping a CD. You get slight degradation. Knowledge is the same. With each generation, you get slight degradation. So much, in fact, that I believe we go through cycles. Humans have probably been to this point before, and will get there again.
