What exactly do you think is wrong with democrats? The left believes in scientific progress, peace, equality, freedom and everything else positive in the world. Everything worth fighting for. A lot of "solutions" presented by the far left are unproven and likely WILL do more harm than good. I am for retaining a healthy environment to a certain point. From an economics standpoint, removing ALL pollution will cost more to accomplish than overall benefit. Removing MOST of the pollution is a more sensible goal. Environmental science isn't clearly defined at this point, there's a lot of research on both sides of the argument, but CNN only shows the "America will destroy the world" side.
"Under God" wasn't added to the pledge until 1952. However, I personally consider it a very trivial matter. I don't think people should have been bothered by the presence of the word God, but I don't think it's a big deal to remove it, either. Again, it's public school, it's not meant to "mean" anything in particular; it's a place for parents to dump their children so the state can control the bulk of their upbringing.
I don't think anything needs to change about the public education system except how it deals with discipline. Parents can so easily sue over anything that they don't like, the kids get to walk all over their teachers and run rampant.
Oh, I think much needs to be changed with the public school system. For starters, remove the "public" aspect of it. Economical studies show that since public goods are non privately owned and non-excludable, the free-rider problem reduces the quality of the commodity. We have among the best education on a University level, the top ones being private. Why? The invisible hand principle: in a free market, pursuing your own interests helps others as well. Free markets always beat gov't subsidies.
From our point of view, we're the ones who stand for freedom and progress. Speaking for myself, I will admit that I'm against peace and equality. "Peace" is just a buzzword for global government and I will never call myself an equal to pedophiles, rapists, or some other subhuman degenerate swine.

That's a coincidence which I didn't even pick up on til you mentioned it. Truth is, I made this video before I ever saw any of RoCG's stuff or even heard of RoCG. The way I became aware of him is from a video I saw linked from a "related" video (which wasn't really all that related) I found after clicking on a link to another video and I don't even remember which one it was now. A lot of limp-wristed pinkos had made response vids to his anti-socialist video. That's how I became aware of him.

The right to abort must exist for cases of rape and when the birth might kill the mother, which are the only circumstances partial-birth abortion is ever performed under anyway.

My point is that a fetus becomes a person. All to0 often, people forget to think fourth-dimensionally. They're only concerned with the here and now. For just a few examples, people who put their own religious beliefs before scientific facts and/or the freedoms of others, people who harbor disparaging views towards anything "foreign" and people who oppose environmentalism most commonly identify themselves as rightists.
Obviously there are going to be multiple viewpoints in the same party and I know many republicans and conservatives who are the opposite of all these things, but even they feel they are a minority.

"Supporting the iraq war" is totally out of left field, though. Certainly there are some democrats in unfortunate positions of power who are that stupid, but the party overall are much more opposed to the war than Republicans, who are largely its proudest and foremost supporters. We're just against jumping on the tree-hugging bandwagon and adapting "technologies" that aren't proven. As a business major I can't in good mind support something that causes a net economic loss.

NO concrete evidence? I think the fact that we can PHYSICALLY OBSERVE evolution counts as fairly concrete. It is a process proven to exist, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with atheism. No scientist believes that evolution is evidence against a supernatural creator. Even Darwin firmly believed in God for over a decade after publishing his findings. He only lost faith when his loved ones died, not because of science.

A scientist is just as likely to believe in something as anyone else. Their job is just to report the facts, and our knowledge of evolution is built on a tremendous body of facts that grow exponentially year after year. It's not proven. First of all, unless you were there when the first organisms crawled out from the primordial soup and saw the evolution of man from ape, then you haven't witnessed anything. Also evolution, a scientific THEORY, contradicts entropy, a scientific LAW. Not that any religion has been proven either. Neither side has provided undeniable proof, and likely never will. Religion and practical science are not mutually exclusive, stop believing the fringe leftists.

I don't believe they're mutually exclusive in that I think you can believe in both without compromising either of them, but one cannot combine more than one different religion without problems, and that is why public education can't touch on them without starting nothing but fights.
Saying they should focus more on AIDs and cancer though is like saying you think car mechanics should worry more about airplanes, there's different fields of science people go into for their own reasons :)

Nothing taught in school curricula is atheistic. Evolution isn't an alternative to creation - I know of no scientist who believes it is. Either way, religion belongs in church and only tangible scientific evidence belongs in public school. If you don't want your kids exposed to facts, you have alternative education systems to choose from. Why should public school, which children of many cultural backgrounds attend, acknowledge the spiritual beliefs of *any* one particular group?

A lot of "solutions" presented by the far left are unproven and likely WILL do more harm than good. I am for retaining a healthy environment to a certain point. From an economics standpoint, removing ALL pollution will cost more to accomplish than overall benefit. Removing MOST of the pollution is a more sensible goal. Environmental science isn't clearly defined at this point, there's a lot of research on both sides of the argument, but CNN only shows the "America will destroy the world" side.

"Under God" wasn't added to the pledge until 1952. However, I personally consider it a very trivial matter. I don't think people should have been bothered by the presence of the word God, but I don't think it's a big deal to remove it, either. Again, it's public school, it's not meant to "mean" anything in particular; it's a place for parents to dump their children so the state can control the bulk of their upbringing.

Oh, I think much needs to be changed with the public school system. For starters, remove the "public" aspect of it. Economical studies show that since public goods are non privately owned and non-excludable, the free-rider problem reduces the quality of the commodity. We have among the best education on a University level, the top ones being private. Why? The invisible hand principle: in a free market, pursuing your own interests helps others as well. Free markets always beat gov't subsidies.
