Thubten Chodron I agree with every thing you say here. Except that passing a law mandating that people employ some type of certain behavior dose nothing to change there heart. Do you think that affirmative action laws are a good idea?

How dose mandating some one hire a person that they do not want to hire change their heart? It only causes them to hate the system that forces them to hire minorities. I am thinking affirmative action laws have done nothing but continue to point out our differences and have done nothing to mend the heart which of course is the real root cause of social injustice.
