  • Wow trumpets gave a horrible performance... as a college player, it bothers me when players at this level don't have a well developed control. Love the song, and very sad to know it will never be honored again.

  • Excuse me, but where in the FUCK is the tuba part?

  • Ole Miss, oh excuse me, Mississippi has no balls..........Go Black Panthers!!!!! I mean Bears. No Really, Rocky Top Tennessee baby, or does that offend you!!!!!!

  • put the song back in the place it belongs in

This is comin from a Jefferson Davis decscent

  • What a pathetic stadium for an SEC school.

  • Rappers can sing about killing, seling drugs, etc....and its acceptable but the words "The South Will Rise Again" are offensive?

  • yes yes yes the south will rize again

  • Comment removed

  • Your race baiting comments hold no water, so enjoy your life in the Land of Oz.

  • @CheckMateyGB It would take too many pages to unconfuse you. Ha.

  • i am so glad they are playing it again

  • Fuck Jones

  • They are playing it again but only like once per game. I imagine if the students will keep their mouth shut then they will ease it back in.

  • Fuck Jones

  • the students ruined it for us. the last part of the song is not suppose to say "The south will rise again", but it does sound good it doesn't help recruiting. Its suppose to say "His Truth is marching on" It is a Christian song . We got too many liberals on campus too

  • the students ruined it for us. the last part of the song is not suppose to say "The south will rise again", but it does sound good it doesn't help recruiting. Its suppose to say "His Truth is marching on" It is a Christian song

  • @gene8942 The blame has always been placed on the students, and yes they said it, but it was NOT just the students. Follow the links on the side. There are videos from other areas of the stadium, and you can hear that the chant is not coming from just the student section

The students were simply the scapegoat, and the only ones the administration thought they could control. After all, they weren't about to blame the ones donating money, just the ones paying tuition.

  • put your damn uniforms on!

  • Love it ! Thanks for posting =)

  • OLE MISS SUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • I was born and raised a rebel. i love ole miss and there is nothing racist about "From Dixie with Love" never has been never will be. ive grown up loving this song and since im in my highschool band i love it even more. i dont understand what the big deal is with 'the south will rise again" its not meant literally. i just see it as bunch of stupid drunk college kids shouting it for the heck of it. THIS SONG SHOULD BE PLAYED NO MATTER WHAT!!!! its a wonderful song and should be heard by everybody

  • I support and go to all the Ole Miss games and when they play the song everyone likes it and goes along with it. And if it affends you, you shouldn't be there because Ole Miss follows Southern Tradition. They even used to fly Confederate flags. If there wasn't so many stupid brohams in this world we could still have Colonel Reb, fly Confederate flags and play "Dixie With Love"!!!!!!WP

  • they play EVERY Yankee tune around Dixie...hell they even manage to work "the battle hyme of the Republic in there". What more do ya want?

  • @ginko27 We Southerners seem to have lost the Civil War twice. The second time around, we lost even our dignity...

  • im from ga and i went up to psu for a year and let me tell you, the northerners talk shit but the north blows, transferring back south asap

  • FUCK PETE JONES AND ALL THE ASSHOLES THAT THINK THIS SONG IS RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ole miss' band is called "pride of the south" and the last line of our song is "the south will rise again".. that means were saying ole miss will rise again seeing as we used to be national champs 3 out of 4 years. our mascot was dedicated to a black man - Blind Jim Ivy. Hows that racist?! He would roll overt in his grave! No more Dixie, and no more Colonel Reb.. FUCK YOU!!!!!

  • i go to the university of south carolina and i love it when we play ole miss because i get to here dixie during the game. Long live Dixie! DEO VINDICE!

  • the south will rise again!!!

  • Hell Yeah!! Ole Miss kicks ass! I'm going to this school!

  • I swear Ole Miss is a freakin power house!

  • I love the South, beautiful music, beautiful girls, beautiful culture..... I'm mesmerized!!! Heil Jesus Christ as king

  • @jeremiahj13 don't forget the great food and the famous southern hospitality

  • REBEL ON!

  • hahaha obviously you have been taught the PC version at school. A large majority of the south DID NOT OWN SLAVES (which was about 80% of the confederate Army). As for racial oppression, it existed everywhere in America both north and south. My God, the North was extremely racist during the slave days. The underground railroad ended in Canada, not the Yankee states.

  • @redneckmarine87 i mean that's right but it's really miss leading...the census back then counted everyone on and about 60 percent of the population were slaves and out of the 40 percent left about 10 percent owned slaves but that ten percent just counted actually slave owners and did not include wives or childeren which back then i think it was was like 4:1 kids to moms so thats like 5 more on that ten percent so really most whites in the south were envolved with owning slaves

  • @redneckmarine87 and all whites benefitted from slaves in the south one way or the other...i'm from the south and a rebel at heart i just wanted to make the point that stat is very misleading but your right..racism was everywhere...even the abolish. at the time were extremely raciest the only difference was one part of the country profitted from the enslavement while the other side was just mad because free labor(slaves) where takin all of their paid labor (immigrants) oppurtunities away

  • yep, and Northerners bought the cheaper cotton to sell to Britain, thus endorsing slavery, you asshole!

  • I think the last time the Ole Miss football team won the SEC was way back when this song was written LOL

  • put the song back

  • Did any else notice at 2:05 that the referees' uniforms spelled "BS"? Ahahahahaha!!

Good thing, because the band sure sucked.

  • I am from Mississippi. 99% of the people I hang out with believe that we are all created equal under one god and one country. 99% of the people in the south are NOT racist. It sucks that the KKK and few hate groups in the south make all the rest of us look bad. They, along with the media just ruined a beautiful song. One that has no racist undertones and should be played to celebrate the south, our country, our freedom, and our EQUALITY. Black or white. Most blacks think this mess is stupid

  • Comment removed

  • The image of the Confederate battle flag has been destroyed by hate groups, I truly believe that everyone from the South(white and black) should stand together and defend our Southern Heritage. (back to the band playing Dixie at Ole Miss football games, come on people it is just a song. A song that many of us are still proud of. Sounds to me like more divisive people trying to make something out of nothing and let me be blunt, this is the real reason we can not get along in America.)

  • I am from Louisiana, I am not racist. I love the South. I have ancestors that fought for the Southern Cause, States Rights, and Freedom. The Ole Miss band playing Dixie is not racist and I hope all Southern people understand that.

  • Discriminating on the basis of where someone is from, or lives, is just as immoral as doing it for reasons of race.

This is one of those things that only draws flak because it is going on in the South. If this were to happen anywhere else it would be a dead topic not worth discussing. Southern institutions go beyond what is reasonable to quell anything that could even be construed as controversial, yet institutions outside the South have free reign to ignore the same policies and incidents.

  • I guess if a bunch of Germans were chanting "the nazi party will rise again", you would see nothing controversial in that either. lol, unbelievable ignorance

  • if teh south had their way they wouldve won the war and wed still have slaves. You dont see anything controversial or racial about a bunch of rednecks screaming "the south will rise again"? Maybe you should brush up on your history, and then you'll understand the context it really is used in

  • Nobody wants to see the return of slavery, that is not even the topic at hand. Of the people who chant "TSWRA" maybe 1 in 200 actually want to see something like that occur, and there will always be those people in any group. The South needs economic recovery, among other things. Chanting 'TSWRA' alludes to the idea that one day the South will again be an economically dominant region. If that makes you feel threatened, or is something you do not want to see happen, then who is discriminating?

  • Maybe you should read, and learn your history. Slavery is a "popular" issue with revisionists. The Civil War was fought over States Rights, not slavery. The slavery issue was used for political expediency in changing the power structure of the federal gov't., just like the economy and health care reform is being used to day. Wake-up!

The Right to Work South will rise again, just ask Boeing who's moving their facilities from Wash state to South Carolina because of the Unions...

  • Why are the Washington Redskins allowed to still be called the Redskins? That term is extremely racial in context. "The South Will Rise Again" is not racial in context, nor even controversial, except when twisted to be such. If anything, the removal of it admits inferiority to states outside the south. Apparently the opinion of their populations, which are moslty uninformed and ignorant, are enough to enact unwanted change. Should we remove the American flag because the KKK lay claim to it?

  • There's actually a lot of controversy about the Redskins thing. That's actually more troubling to me than this incident...

  • the south will rise again is the most ignorant phrase. it admits an inherent inferiority. how much time have we had to rebuild from the civil war and louisiana/miss/bama are all still shitholes and completely backwards? or does it mean slavery will come back? or will the south break away from the union? i don't blame ole miss fans for loving their song and their culture but they need to move beyond this south will rise again crap-- it doesn't even make sense.

  • ignorant huh? must be living somewhere other than the south. Live here for a few months and then tell me who is ignorant

  • i grew up in Louisiana and went to an SEC school. i know what i'm talking about. read the comment man, sorry if i came off harsh, i'm just making a point that some us make us look bad. unless you think the phrase means that the south will one day be allowed to reintroduce segregation , it must mean that the south will become economically and culturally dominant, and i'm all for that, but we can't do it with backwards thinking.

  • As a fellow Louisianian you obviously do NOT understand the history of the South, or know the real reason the Civil War was fought. -States Rights-

I feel that you may have suffered the "Mushroom Syndrome" when it came to schooling... "You've been kept in the dark all of your life, and fed bull-shit"...It's not your fault, but the gov't's who won't teach the truth, and allow students to make their own decisions. It's the main reason I wouldn't teach when asked.

    Ne conjugare nobiscum...

  • you're right... state rights... a state's right to deprive human beings their rights in order to maintain their profit margins. who do you think had the most power and influence at the time? rich people. who owned plantations? rich people. these are the people who owned slaves. anyway, i have seen from personal experience that the confederate flag toting TSWRA shouters are 99% of the time the most racist people.

  • the point i am trying to make is instead of shouting a silly phrase we should do something about making ourselves rise; but people who are stuck in the past, racist or classist, and unable to be open to new ideas WILL NOT rise again. To tell you the truth i don't remember crap from any of my history classes so i don't know what i was taught, but I know what I see and it doesn't look good for LA/MS.

  • and if you read all of my previous comments you will see i never claimed to be southern history buff, i just know what it's like to live around here. the best way for us to rise again is to better educate our students, attract and retain more jobs, and grow our economies...

  • I agree completely on the latter. Boeing is moving an assembly cenetr to SC from Wash state due to Labor Union issues. We're quickly becoming the "Right to Work South".

  • That law is a complete misnomer. Anti-union isn't "right to work." Pro-union is the right to work and the right to have dignity and fair pay and conditions. Union workers get 30% more pay for the same work in this country. Wake up, people!

  • After you remove the percentage that you are "required" to pay your Union to be able to work, and represent your "needs" in the workplace; you'd make more without them.

Oh, yeah...what the Union does, Federal Labor Laws do already for alot less.

So, you wake up! SEIU, and their sort are goin' down...Let them try and strong-arm people in the South, and see what happens...

  • everyone understand the civil war was about state rights. You are very ignorant and/or naive if you think there's even a large minority who wave the KKK (confederate) flag for that reason. Whats the last time you saw a black person with a confederate flag? Its all about this pride that (racist) white people in the south try to hold onto because they are insecure about their place in society and amongst non whites.

im white and was raised in the south (well florida)

  • You are ignorant to call it the KKK flag. What the klan is or represents is pathetic, demonstrating at a football game over a song is pathetic. The last time I saw a black person with a confederate flag was two months ago. I'm from the actual south, (as in not florida) and I know plenty of black people that have confederate symbols that show a pride in the south.

  • Sean,

1-I can't help why certain people wave Beauregard's Battle Flag (the Confed Flag happens to be the Bonnie Blue Flag).

2-The flag of the Ku Klux, meaning "the circle" from the Greek "cu clos" is entirely different from the Stars and Bars.

3-If loving my heritage, the South (and all of its' diversity), believeing in our Constitution and what it stands for is "Racist", then so be it.

You sir, are the ignorant one. You should get a refund on a "lacking" education...

  • Oh, and by the way Sean-

Anthony Johnson was the first "legally" recognized Slave holder in the US by a court decision...He was a free black. So you see, they enslaved themselves...I guess he was a Racist too...

  • i think you just proved my point. Your first post explains what I said about how naive/in denial some rednecks are. Most of you who wave the confederate flag embrace the fact that you hate blacks, which is somewhat refreshing. BUt some like you try to act as if anyone buys your BS that it isnt a racist symbol. Its clear what the confederate flag respresents. Next thing youll tell me "the south will rise again" isnt racially provocative either.

  • Sean, first, I'm a "coonass". If you want to insult me, please do it properly...

Again, (let me know when it sinks in) -I can't help why certain people wave Beauregard's Battle Flag.

The idea that "the South will rise again" means that we are going to re-institute States Rights in this country the way Jefferson envisioned it.

No, the saying I'm referring to isn't meant to be racially provocative. But, if you wear your heart on your sleeve, it's bound to get bruised some.

  • YOU SAYING WERE RACIS YOU BASTARD

  • Read your damn history books boy apparently u ain't from the south

  • alright listen up fuck tards. the civil war was fought because of unequal representation, not slavery it was a byproduct. before you run your cocksucker, read a history book. and saying red white and blue was also the colors of the confederacy, agreenego, you ignorant fuck.

  • unequal representation? Just another lie told by Southerners to hide the racism, murder and persecution of black people in the South during that time period. Drop the "lost cause" bullshit and pull your head out of your ass, because the facts don't agree with you son. The only reason the South was worried about unequal representation was because of slavery, to say it is the primary reason is dumb,

  • What "facts" are you reading from? 'Mandingo,' or maybe 'Roots,' or 'The Diary of Miss Jane Pittman," or a thousand and one other Hollywood-inspired "facts"? You'd get SO OWNED in a REAL History debate with that half-baked shit you're spewing.

  • Its called books chico.. Try out anything by James McPhearson or Shelby Foote they contain facts, and should be read by everyone.... Sorry you get your historical info from "Gone with the wind" or some other "Lost Cause" Dunning School bullshit from dipshits like James Ronald Kennedy spewing his War of Northern Agression lies.

  • Yeah? What KIND of "books," Malcom X? Oh yes, the 'great' Shelby Foote, who hasn't been right since he picked up a pen. And I DARE you to prove Kennedy wrong since he had plenty of footnotes and references to view. So, what are you even doing here, dude? Why don't you go troll some pro-Lincoln blog, or maybe some Black Nationalist website which will welcome your bullshit with open arms?

  • Regardless of the the song and the controversy, that band his horrible. That's a major college band? Seriously?

  • Agreed, tkeef2004. This has to be the worst marching band in the country. It's not that far off from what you would hear from a high school band.

  • and tommorrow you better believe we will be walking down the walk of champions BLARING this song. This will always be my Alma Mater's Fight song. ALWAYS. Screw the idiots that want to be politically correct. You can kiss my HOTTY TODDY ASS

  • meant hop

  • shut that crap up 19Truth53 and go hope on flordias or some1 elses bandwagon!!

  • EAT SHIT AND DIE, BOY! I'll say it again, and again, and again. You don't like it? Go to FUCKING GRAMBLING, or SOUTHERN, or HOWARD. You want to be part of OUR culture then HONOR IT the way we do, OR FUCK OFF!

  • Could Ole Miss be more hypocritical? It would allow 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic' (arguably the most blood-thirsty, warmongering, genocidal song ever written) over 'The South Shall Rise Again.' That's because the LEFTISTS, BLACK NATIONALISTS, MARXISTS, and White COWARDS which infect Ole Miss have no problem with genociding SOUTHERNERS. Grow some BALLS, Ole Miss Fans! BOYCOTT every sporting event. A few empty stadiums will STOP this BULLSHIT in its tracks and you'll save your heritage.

  • Sherman should of burned down more of the South during his march to the sea. Maybe we wouldn't have to listen to this "The South Will Rise Again" bullshit.

  • Maybe I ought to bitch-slap you for a comment like that, you anti-Southern cocksucker! What you 'UNION' boys don't realize is that (aside from Sherman being a homicidal pyromaniac) the nation was forever changed from a Constitutional Republic to the overbearing and unconstitutional Leviathan 900 lb. gorilla we're ALL stuck with today thanks to Lincoln's ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL invasion of the LEGALLY and CONSTITUTIONALLY Seceded South. So, keep laughing it up, DUMBASS!

  • Sherman had the right idea, he was just an underachiever. Andrew Johnson was a traitor, this country would be forever better if reconstruction never happened and everything below Illinois was scorched and sold to the Mexicans. Fuck you and your revisionist history, trying to romantize and justify the fact that your ancestors were fighting for the right to own and enslave other human beings. Making up some shit about how the succesion was consitutional. You should actually read the thing fuckface

  • "Revisionist history"? You ARE an ignorant FUCK, aren't you? There's no "Revision" going on here, fuckhead. ESTABLISHMENT SPIN, you mean. Constitutional secession was "made up"? You don't even know your own Constitution, do you Bozo? I'm SO glad you're on the OTHER SIDE! Eat shit and die you Federalist piece of shit!

  • suck my red, white and blue Union balls you old bitch.

  • Say that to my face, you "red/white/blue" CUNT! I'll bitch-slap your Federalist ass back to Mars, BOY!

  • haha just give me the address of whatever retirement home you are staying in old timer. I would give you a beat down so bad you wouldn't be able to "rise again"

  • Ya know what, little man, I was 19 years old in Nam, so between you and me I'm the only one that's killed a man. I'd stow that "tough" talk if I were you, punk, cause I might just take you up on it.

  • So you killed someone in Nam huh? I bet that gets you alot of street cred in your clan meetings, but on this here old internet it don't mean shit. So you can drop the veiled threats/tough guy attitude and stop taking this shit so seriously before you have a heart attack.

  • How I WISH you were in front of me now, you little shit-talking punk!

  • but these people blew it out of proportion. It's part of the song and i stand there at every game and shout it out loud. I say if it's part of the song we should be allowed to sing it.

  • i don't know what year this was, but this band sucks. they sound out of tune several times. I've been to many home games and never even knew that's what everyone was chanting. this is so stupid. I remember when they changed from Dixie to from dixie with love. now this? no col rebel either. i'm surprised we still have our name

  • Fuck Jones will think twice about what he did everybody will see what i am talking bout THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN

  • What year is this!? I thought you "Rebels" have allowed black activists and Leftist Marxists tell you what you can play and not play, and what flag you can fly and what flag you cannot fly? Oh, well I don't see the Confederate Battle Flag, so I guess they got One out of Two, huh? Sorry I'm bitter, but I remember the days when the Rebel Battle Flag led the team out onto the field. So what gives?

  • Seriously, get over it people! The Civil War was hundreds of years ago! This is part of Ole Miss's tradition, and sure, you may not like what happened during that time period and some of the symbols may remind you of them, but this is over 200 years later!

  • Only a non-Southern, Marxist, Liberal TURD would say "get over it." Hey, FUCK YOU, you sorry prick. I'll "get over it" when we run every last one of you fucks out of our Southland. And, it's coming sooner than you think, asshole.

  • You damn right go back north if it offends you

  • Dude, READ what I wrote. I'm FOR Dixie, the Rebel Flag, the Confederacy, and for screaming 'The South Will Rise Again.' I'm against those Marxist forces that have ruined Ole' Miss.

  • lol whut

  • you didn't even take the time of day to read what I said you moron.

  • hey ass hole

#1 its not 200 years ago its 130 your short 70 years dumb ass

#2 its not about losing the war either, its HONORING those that fought in the war #3 the song is tradition, its some stupid students that keep ending it with "the south will rise again (tswra)" and they were told not to, but since they didn't stop they took it away and so everyone is suffering because of it. So we can gripe all we want prick.

  • alright genius. I'll stick to what you say.

  • I read what you wrote, panzerkiller, and you call me a moron again and I'll hunt you sorry fuck ass down and feed you to the gators, BOY!

  • you OBVIOUSLY have no idea what I was saying, I'm ALL FOR this song and everything else Ole Miss does that people are against. The people that claim it's racist and inappropriate are pretty stupid if you ask me. It's tradition,it should NOT be messed with just because it "offends" a few whoosies out in California or some other equally loser state.

  • I agree with you!

  • it's simple... His Truth "R" Is "E" Mar "B" ching "S" - the cymbals do all the work for you... just say a letter where there is a crash. min. 1:38. an even better place is around 0:57... stick with me... there are eight beats if you can keep the beat. Beat 1 music beat 2 "R" beat 3 music beat 4 "E" beat 5 music beat 6 "B' beat 7 music beat 8 "S" and then you hollar whatever... I suggest "REBELS!!!!!!!!!".

  • To sum up, anyone that yells TSWRA this saturday is a stubborn asshole that ruins it all for the true rebel fans.

  • No, anyone who DOESN'T YELL TSWRA DOESN'T DESERVE TO CALL HIMSELF 'REBEL'!

  • I used to say TSWRA but this year, since the school has threatened to take away From Dixie with Love I have started to yell his truth is marching on (the real lyrics to the song). It really sucks that the school is threatening to take away From Dixie with Love but really it is us the students that have the power to keep From Dixie with Love. We as students do not need to make this a pride issue. Lets keep the real tradition and get rid of TSWRA.

  • I am in the band and I am black and upon coming here I was like its just a song, However there are too many people that died so that this song is contradictory to...those people are your uncles aunts and etc people take racism and try to call it tradition. Wrong is wrong....I dont think that everyone that goes to ole miss or that favors dixie is prejudice but i think they are ignorant sometimes

  • They want ever take DIXIE away FUCK U JONES THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN

  • ole miss is wack

  • Why are they playing at a high school stadium?

  • Lol...please post a picture of your HS stadium, I bet it looks nothing like this.

  • hilarious!

  • Hearing a band play Dixie almost makes me want to be an Ole Miss fan.

  • OLE MISS BABY!!!!!!

  • Pure Class!

  • The reason that Ole Miss still plays Dixie and got rid of the Battle Hymn of the Republic is because big alumni donors like my mom who was also in the band stopped given as large of donations. Another reason is that almost of the student body is from the south and are proud of there heratiage. If you hate Dixie so much why did you go to a school in the south?

  • This guy didn't go there, its a internet troll. They are tenacious, lacking in self esteem and usually basement dwelling due to their inability to see the light in anything.

  • ok, sir, Dixie and battle hymm of the republic are writtin together to play: dixie with love....

  • me and a black friend of mine are trying out for the ole miss drumline this spring. he thinks ole miss has the coolest pregame (which they do) and it doesn't offend him... maybe because he is mature AND ITS JUST A FUCKING SONG....

  • this song gives me chills at the game HOTTY TOTTy

  • We still play dixie!

  • Beutiful. Do they still play Dixie at Ole Miss. I thought they had finally did away with all things old south there.

  • If you'll listen, this song is mixes Dixie with the Battle Hymn of the Republic. It's pretty symbolic 'n' shit.

  • HOTTY TOTTY!!!

  • love this song and to hear the band play it is wonderful!!

  • The South is the greatest place anyone will ever live screw the faggot yanks we will kick the shit out of yall any day Hotty Toddy!!!!!! GO REBELS!!!!!!!

  • REGARDLESS.

At a University level, it's expected that you have at LEAST 4 years of halftime marching experience. I KNOW that the guy who moved at 2:42 after the band halted didn't go to a MISSISSIPPI high school band.

I love the Pride... but shit.

    Do better.

  • Amen to that! If I would have done that my Band director would have cussed me for everything I was worth. What school did you play for?

  • plus, that was the very first game of the season. there is no better band in the SEC.

  • the ole miss band is amazing. the quality of the video is not good. people who think they could do a better job than the band director at ole miss obviously do not know what they are talking about. the band director at ole miss is international president of phi beta mu and is nationally recognized know throughout the country.

  • hell yea---david wilson rocks!

  • great song

but you guys are out of tune!

  • It' so beautifull, it makes me want to cry yehaaaaw."PRIDE OF THE SOUTH"

  • Great vid, but it is so damn annoying when the streaming starts and stops!

  • In 1776 the Colonists stood up against the most tyrannical government on earth: Great Britain. The very nearly lost their bid for Independence. Had they lost, generations of schoolchildren would have been taught how the rebels were "traitors" and deserved to be hung.

In 1861 their grandsons confronted an even greater tyranny: the US government under Lincoln. Sadly, they lost their bid for Independence.

But the memories linger, the spirit lives, and the soul waits for the day to come!

    TSSRA

  • The South had no reason to stand up against the North, they did it all on a preemptive basis. Lincoln never said anything about ending slavery or taking away states rights which is why the South seceeded. The Republicans only wanted to limit the spreading of slavery, not ending it, the South was just upset about the election on 1860 because they lost which was their own fault, had Southern Dems been able to decide upon one single candidate, Lincoln may not won at all. Get your facts straight.

  • OK, why don't you get your head out of the sand and read a real tex

  • @bryzngani ok shut up. talk about the song, not a history lesson.

  • @TheJoker2169 I was just replying to what someone had stated on here that I felt was incorrect. Hopefully you learned something from it.

  • hotty toddy Ole Miss trumpet section!

I'm a trumpet player myself, and I can tell easily that several of you are out of tune.. bad!

  • We have a horrible band director here at Ole Miss in my opinion. Especially halftime shows. I have to other places and they have good halftime shows. We have been playing the same crap for the past several years. And it is always some Michael Jackson BS. We need a better director who knows how to make our band look good.

  • You might try the job yourself sometime. It isn't as easy as it seems. I'm sure someone could do your job a little better, too. Give the man some props...he has a tough job.

  • I absolutely cannot believe this is university level marching and playing. Can I please have half the salary that the band director is getting there and take that job!

  • And you, this is early in the season. Since they are wearing shorts and t-shirts it is probably the first or second game I would say. They have probably only been working on this show for a couple of weeks. Some of the people in this band might not have been in a wonderful high school band or even a band that marched and are learning everything in two weeks. Give them a break. By the way, he doesn't make as much as you think. Take the job if you want but I doubt you are qualified.

  • Please tune! Please tune! Please tune!

  • I love the Confederacy and Dixie. It is too bad though that the Ole Miss Band has not played this beloved song with a good tone ever! This could be played beautifully. Marching band and pep band does not mean that it has to sound bad. Can someone at that university please teach the band how to play well?

  • hotty toddy!

  • I died laughing at 2:05, when the officials went by and you see the letters "B" and "S" together.

    Now THAT'S COMEDY!

  • hottie totiee...........

  • ummmmm hotty toddy

  • Are you trying to say Hotty Toddy
