Am I the only one who has to wait till 2 minutes and 10 seconds to start this wish I could get the 7 seconds off that you have. The PAL version is even luckier they get to start around 1:55 sissy's
I'm sure the NTSC version has a longer wait than that. More like 2 minutes. I used to get up, walk away and do something else while the start took place. I hated that so much.
NTSC is just a broadcast standard for the U.S. PS2s sold to the U.S. meet that standard. PAL is a broadcast standard for many other countries in Europe and Asia. I don't know what the letters stand for.

Anyway, I am no where close to catching up to the Gullwing. I better your times until turn 3, the hardest part for me starts after the carousel until the straightway. I wish it had better tires, but then it wouldn't be so much challenging and intimidating, ha aha.
My section times vary from run to run. Sometimes I take more chances, sometimes I get lucky. It's just that overall I can usually keep a certain pace since I'm familiar with the track and car. To me, the tires do have traction because I got used to them.
To pass the 5th placed SL65 just before the carousel is proof of the speed through the preceding corners!
To go flat out through the pflanzgarten is incredible; the car is on its tiptoes the whole way through at 140 mph! Passed the 300SL before hohenrain chicanes is frikkin fast then 9:09.223 is just excellent!
Thanks, but believe me, it took about a week of practice with just this car and this track and I had a really good run. The hard work paid off, though. I was already winning the race repeatedly, so I wasn't under any pressure at all. Now it's probably my most fun race when it used to be my most hated. Man, I used to suck at this Mission big time.
This is probably as good as I'll get without practicing a few of hours a day and maybe not even then. I won the Mission cleanly and that's good enough for me.
Please upload your video and show how it's done for those that do want to get better times.

I hate how if you mess up you have to wait an additional 60 seconds for the rest of the cars. Soo annoying.

Get a analog controller or learn how to use it you'll do much better, you brake little too much and you're slow on accelerator.
