dont be a pussy.  Take the valve covers and intake manifold off and fix it.

@disc0monkey its easier that way but its not necessary you would just be creating more work for yourself.. you can just take off the intake manifold and valve covers and on your rockers arms compress them down on the valve springs to relieve stress on the push rods so you can take them out and pull the lifters out.. well actually you dont compress the rocker arm it self you would find something like a screwdiver or ratchet and socket and compress the tappet on top of the valve spring
