Looks very good. Especially that the right pane was removed, makes th UI much clearer! But I've two remarks:
1.) I recommend to move the "Slides per Row"-Control to the status bar, to the place where normally the Zoom-Slider is located, because the functionality is nearly the same. A user would expect this same functionality always at the same place.
2.) I think the Mouse Over effect is too intense. I recommend to just show a small shadow around the slide itself.
Seemed to run far too quickly - the initial message in red was on, then off too fast to read. The information on the bottom (the "status bar") provides no value to the user. in the sorter, the only information displayed was "slide"!
How do you play music throughout the entire slidshow?
