i love sarah however i think Emmy Rossum was better suited as christine. emmy has more innocence and youth in her voice. Besides Christine isnt supposed to the perfect leading lady shes supposed to still have alot to learn as the phantom says " she has much still to learn if pride will let her return to her teacher" i think sarah brightman is too good for christine

@Eircman  Yes he does. If I'm not mistaken he was the original Marius in London when the show opened as well.

He also played this part(Raoul) as part of the 2nd London cast back in 87/88.

He is still one of the best known musical theatre stars, and his latest role was Edna Turnblad in Hairspray.

Later this year he will take on the role of Sweeney Todd...
