The Lion was declawed and it was his trainer who was doing most of the fighting with the lion, which, if you believe it, they were playing with each other.

The lion was drugged. When I lived in the mountains, we captured black bear in a barrel trap. The Game Worden game and stuck a needle through the many holes in the trap. When the bear was out. We dragged the bear from the trap. We weighed it, took a baby tooth from the bear to get it's age, gave it a shot of antibiotics and placed a tag on it's ear. When the bear came to, he just waddled off looking a little drunk. This was to keep track of the number of bears in the state.

The lion wasn't dead it was just tranquilized, Victor mature fought with a fake lion while the scenes with the real lion were filmed with the lions trainer doubling for samson.

@fliegeroh Unfortunately, it was a situation of kill or be killed. Had Samson not killed the lion, eventually it would have killed both he and Delilah. I'd really like to believe that in filming the lion was not actually killed.

Facial hair has a tendancy to grow once it has been shaved. If his face had never been shaved there is a possibilty he could have a natural clean shaven skin. The more hair is cut the faster and greater it grows back like a weed.

Yea there was no razor come upon his face and he was not with that lady. These are the only verses that described him when he encountered the lion..

"So Samson went down to the Timnah with his father and mother.
