@floorboardvoodoo It's simple. Formulas, Altars, and Blessed are 3 of the best metal records EVER. Gateways and Covenant have some amazing tracks on them. The rest, well, *sigh*
i dug alot of stuff from domination, i felt the songs were alot more accessible and catchy. Covenant on vinyl sounds amazing! ( i don't know if there is actually all that much of a different between cd and vinyl but there is just something about it that makes it feel like an evil record you shouldn't be listening to) there is so much of there stuff I'm still getting my head around. Are you into Cannibal corpse much at all? there pretty consistent with what they do
@floorboardvoodoo Sure...I mean, Domination had some fantastic tracks again, but the production, croaky vocals, and the whole second half felt totally neutered. I cringe every time I hear 'Caesar's Palce'. Don't even get me started on Heretic and Iliud. You know metal sucks when allmusic.com has a review by someone who clearly doesn't like death metal, talking about how 'they've stuck to their guns and this is no exception'. Ugh. And it's about time I checked out some Corpse!
