  • They are written at the top when he's playing.

  • wonderful i love the way you play, well if you made the mistake, you sure did cover it up with the other parts in the song,so great job, keep on doing what you do.

  • That progression you did at 3:55 to 3:58 sounded off, didn't sound right at all. Just my opinion!!

  • LOL sorry I'm not perfsct :)

  • @Dadee3 why you gottabe so rude you should be thankin him for even putting this up here wow people can be so rude!!!! ugh

  • @damikeepfnup I was giving my opinion, I wasn't rude at all silly smh.

  • @Dadee3 no problem, I make my lessons very basic so new musicians will learn. If I did a live video you would see 5 times more playing ;)

  • wash me over again-rev.timothy wright?

you brought me through this Tutorials?

  • nicee.. i like this, i picked up a typo in your chord progression just to clear it up just incase someone comes across it and gets confused.. for one of your chords you notated B/VDG.. the V should be a B it was a minor typing error. but thanks again for the video

  • What an absolutley Christian gift. Wow! Totally generous. It is apparent that God has blessed you, so therefore I pray Him to give you the desires of your heart and spare you from tears.

  • Thanks for the help my brother. May God continue to bless you.

  • The Run at 3:54 is awesome!

  • Man this is really a blessing. May God richly bless you.

  • Discard the name I'm 11 year old boy minister of music. This was just what I was looking for, just some basic write-down chords to practice and boy do you know how to play! God Bless

  • thank you so much for this video, it is truly a blessing you have shared with all of us. I like your teaching style and hope that you do more videos. but please show the trills and other distinct movements we can do. If you can, Thanks God Bless you.

  • Thank you for this lesson, you have been a real bleaaing to me. I will be tunning in to more of your video's

  • Just learn all you're 2-5-1's!!

  • Just a note to let you know how much you helped in my learning; the chords written along with your explanation, has allowed me to progress quickly in my hearing and learning of chords. I know that playing is my calling, but I was trained classically and learning gospel chords proved challenging, but God bless your gift to teach and may He continue to prosper you in this assignment!

  • i know exactly what you mean....i was trained classicly and find it extrememly hard to play by ear or do all the chords that are required for many gospel songs....

  • wow im totally opposite..i tought myself how to play and cant read music ... all i am is play by ear..and play chords..which is what im about to go do ...practice this song..god bless Soundofjoy

  • sam i wish i could play this good but my problem is i fear making mistakes by hitting the wrong notes when doing the runs. how do you just let loose like that and not worry about mistakes and how can i play it like you?

  • its all about practicing. When you practice correct scale technique it becomes second nature

  • great job at teaching me but what is B/(V) D G

  • must be typo

  • It's a typo... from his fingering, looks like it should read:

    B / B D G

  • yeah thanks i'm thinking of making a vid of me playing this song after learning it from soundofjoy..... but i'll probably post it under another screen name... thanks soundofjoy and god bless

  • sam! wow great tutorial u helped me learn my favorite song thx.

  • Umm Sam i am havin a lil problem can u please send me tha notes 2 this song so i can practice on my skillls

  • jus write em down thats wat i do. it helps alot

  • Beautiful! Thanks Uncle Sam you da man!

  • Hello Sam. I have to join you on your lessons. You are truly amazing! God has answered my prayers. The rest is up to me! I've been watching your videos for the last 2 days and I truly hope I can connect with you and get my music ministry to another level........Please tell me what I need to do to start?! Thanks and God Bless.......

  • hey waz up sam. i love your lessons and wondering if u wud be able to give a lesson on the blood will never lose its power in da key of c major

  • you play this better than i could but there is one chord that i hear that would be cool to add to the things you are doing here. When you get to the 4 then drop down to the 3 and start cycling again, instead of going F, E, A, D then the run up...substitute an Eb7 with the 9th in there for the A chord. it'll make a cool chromatic thing and then will fall right into that D to start the run-up. let me know what you think. great video and right on point.

  • Johnebii...I'm sure that you are more than capable of doing something special with this song just like you did with "Falling in Love With Jesus."

  • I do have something up my sleeve i've been wanting to put on video but i need a bass player to make the demo with me. i'm going to try to get that in the can. this one sam does here is great though.

  • Hello Bro Sam.

Thanks for Never Would Have made it. The video helps to play along. Once I have the basic chords I was able to follow along. Have you chorded out Running back to you. I would really like the chords to that song. thanks

  • Excellent job, thanks for your assistance, especially with the left hand chords. What a blessing.

  • wow thank you i think i almost have it i have reviewed this video time after time and at one time i had given up and thanks to preserverence i tried it again and learned

  • glad to hear it...keep practicing

  • I not great playing with my left hand. Do you hand. Do you have any suggestions?

  • its a lost art....first you have to learn the basid chords ( major, minor, diminished...) for left hand then play these chords with right hand melody. This is just the practice mode, as you develop you ear to hear these chord changes you will then begin to use them with right hand chord voicing e.g. rather than play C E G / D...you would play G C E / C E and use inversions of the basic chords. I'll have to do a video showing my technique

  • this is wonderful~~~ THANK YOU alot!!! I was wondering do you no how to play "It's only a test". Cause i really need some help on it?

  • Once again, You are AWESOME!!!! This is my one of my favorites!!!! You are such a blessing for doing this. You make it so easy, especially havin the chords alphabetically written in your video. You are the BOMB!!!!!

  • Would you happen to know "Pressing My Way" by Timothy Wright? You have been such a blessing to me.

  • at 3:13 on the video what notes did you play?

  • I learned how to play this song doing the time while my grandmother was on her dying bed and now it's been 3 months since she has gone to be with the Lord. I have officially learned how to play the song just as Sam have put up (you tube) and when I tell you the anointing of God was following through the temple. This song is official my warm up song. Be Blessed Brother.

  • thanks man of god for the lesson..I actually learned this in the key of c when i first learned it, thanks for showing me new info..god bless, always

  • your are a blessing to all musicans that need help in the church because a lot of musicans dont take the time to show us some chords you are truly a blessing god bless you and your music!!!!!

  • amen to that, you took the words right out of my mouth.

  • Thank you so much, You are a blessing. This is one of my favorite songs. You have really helped me. I can play it....LOL! Thank you, Thank you:)God bless you!

  • I wonder if anyone has watched Marvin Sapp sing this live on TBN-posted here on YouTube? He seems to assume 100% originality for this song. Anyone who has purchased his new album "Thirsty" can observe Matthew Brownie's name- credited for this song. Minister Brownie was going through a awful time himself when he wrote this music. He deserves due honour for offering this music.

  • Praise GOD for being such a Great teacher, in the work of the Kingdom. Keep doing Great things for GOD I know he smiling on You. Be Blessed.

    Elder C

  • It already on youtube, check my earlier videos

  • can you play Walter Hawkins song Thank you Lord for all you've done for me?

  • love how you teach helped me a lot in learning the song

  • Who knows the chords to Perfect Peace (Marvin Sapp)?

  • This is great I'm a beginner keyboard player and this easy chords that I can play.

    Be blessed

  • So, I've been praticing the song and it's coming along great! Played your version and the other version posted on here and your's is the closest to the right sound of the song. Thank you! Thank you!~trying to learn it to play at my grandmother's funeral. Be blessed

  • yeah, I can understand your method easier versus to the other...I was about to go to sleep with all that talkin! Be Blessed.

  • Thank the lord for your help!!! This song is so powerful! Stay blessed!

  • Thank you for teaching,I'm going to use in my practice time.GOD BLESS YOU.

  • out of all these people im the most blessed it is 10am sunday and i gotta play this at church this after noon at 3 30 thank god i found this i ALREADY got it down! god bless

  • that's why I'm on the Internet glad to be of assistance

  • thankx you have taught me this song..so now i just gotta see if i can hit the notes when i sing it..lol..but theres alwayz transpose..thankx though..

  • LOL@transpose I know thats right man of God I'm right along wit chu the truth is that alot of muscians are so busy working other fulltime jobs the time that it takes learning these songs in every key is time consuming. Especially when you play in Holiness...who actually sings this in the right key of C anyway! Much Love to all those that doesn't need the transpose but I thank God that it's available.

  • Dont get me wrong i can switch between keys between keys but some songs are harder than other ones. for instance this song with the runs...if you dont know the scales to other keys you will be lost.....Nd never wouldve made it. lol but seriously i learned something new.....i write down each key scale and number it ...so i remember it by numbers..but im blessed to play and just now stepped into my blessing....but c is kinda hard because its c lose together...but the scale is so easy. BE BLESSED

  • Sorry bro I m think I msgd the wrong person so please delete or disregard my comment to you. Was meant for this dude playing in this clip.
