  • wow

  • I didn't know Michael Bolton was the drummer for Weezer...

  • he is right. Sluts do get loose in the corners...

  • even if we hate or love this song, most of people can be familiar with the lyrics, if you love weekend parties, you kow what i mean. keep partying and stuting or working :)

  • MMMMMMMMMM GREY GOOSE..

  • The reasons I listen to this song are similar to the reasons I listen to that Rebecca Black song. Song is sooooo stupid/mainstream.

  • LOL! At the start, after Rivers says 'This is a new song called Can't stop Partying' Brians like, ooooh man the crowd are gonna hate this!!!! XD

  • Comment removed

  • haha, I think I kinda went brain dead there for a sec when rivers started rapping, that was sick, why did they ever have lil wayne be on the album?

  • i lov weezer... but i hate weezy

  • the band does not look very excited to be playing this song

  • @derpdederp101 It's kind of hilarious watching this, knowing that Brian, Pat, and Scott hate this style of music, but here they are, twiddling with keyboards and waiting for the song to be over.

  • Surprised the glass dont fly off every time he does that headbang

  • first time i have ever been disappointed by rivers' live vocals

  • this song is good, but the best versio n is on an acoustic. weezer to me...does not seem like a tech no band. they seem like the good ol fassioned guitars and bass and drums

  • there is not one indication that this song is meant to be sarcastic.

  • @smarteeangel101 Except for the fact that Rivers said so himself. I hope this comment was sarcastic lol

  • @smarteeangel101 It's a lament, a regretful song. Read the liner notes on Alone II. Rivers wrote about the thoughts and emotions behind every track. Geffen wanted a mainstream track, so they made Weezer record a hip hop track with Lil Wayne, rather than the acoustic ballad that Rivers wanted.

  • @WishIWasRivers: Dunno where you're getting that info. Rivers made the song mainstream on his own accord. Bringing in Lil Wayne was his and Jermaine Dupri's idea. I wish fans wouldn't make crappy excuses for this song. Rivers wanted it to be taken seriously and he was not trying to be ironic.

  • @MistaRowland I do believe I said. The Alone II liner notes. Admittedly, I got a bit overexcited. Geffen didn't "make" Weezer do the Raditude mix, but this was not what Rivers did with the song when he first saw the lyrics.

  • @WishIWasRivers: Right. But he was really excited about the Raditude version. This was his idea of the perfect version of the song.

  • @smarteeangel101

    agreed

  • What makes me wonder about the human race is people criticizing someone's creative work because it's not what they want or like.

  • I love it when rivers sings weezys part and does that weird thing with his hand while he is dropping bars

  • Did Rivers actually say "is the fucking usual" or did he say "is the freaking usual"??? Just wondering

  • @hettfield009 he says too fucking usual

  • Great performance. All the sound plus the energy.

  • did weezer get a new drummer?

  • @briansilas4 just for Raditude. They switched their original drummer Pat to guitar. mainly so Rivers could get one out of his hands to be more active on stage, so i dont know why he's playing one in this.

  • looks a little drunk himself

  • like that Song. <3

  • @rick2494....what are you a mormon? People do party you know. This song a wicked party chant....

  • I just randomly came upon a live performance of this song and really liked it....I listened to the studio version....and cryed haha........this song is definetly better live like most songs in general all (unless they are pop crap where everything is electronic)

  • ♥

  • it would have been the shit if weezy wud havebeen there:)

  • it is a sad song, take a look at his solo album, rivers alone 2, its a sad song that has been converted into a pop song.

  • the song would be awesome with good lyrics

  • @KaossPadGuitars yeah its called kids, pokerface, lost, the hardest part....think of any great pop song. same progression.

  • @gatorsrule062002 yeah, but its not weezer..

  • The live song is far better than the one from the album! ... well except when he raps ;)

  • this song rocks lol

  • looking at all of the comments below makes my blood boil...this song is awesome...end of...even if weezer do sound different...

  • I totally agree with thislittlemelodyx. well said.

  • Oh ya to everyone out there that thought this sucked well it was great and I have just bought all my friends this song that's about $300.00 so you know what to some people this is a great song and you have to respect that so buzz off.

  • lol rivers raping

  • wouldn't mind Killers/=w=

  • I will always love Weezer. Who cares if they venture off and do /try other things. They are still the band I fell in love with when I was a wee child. =w= for life.

  • i know i should hate this but it's so fucking catchy!

  • HA! Nice rapping Rivers...? Shoulda sprung for a special guest.

    Weezer is awesome!!

  • hahaha...I love how its tough for Rivers to say the f word during the lil wayne part. I appreciate the fact that they're clean though.

  • @cgreenmhd lol me too

  • I know right (dazili41) I tried to explain this to a friend, total sarcasm. I love this song, it's great.

  • I can't believe people don't get that this song is meant to be taken sarcastically. It makes me worried for the human race.

  • Um you don't get it. Rivers himself said that this song is not sarcastic and is meant to be sad. I love that people assume shit like this.

  • ur a moron...the song was aritten about when rivers literally cldnt stop partying...ur a fuckin moron shut up unless you knw the real facts

  • @bucknutz021891 what kinda facts do you know?

    stfu or i hunt you.

  • @dazili41 so damn right

  • @dazili41 The fact that Weezer even dared to make a song like this, or even Raditude itself, makes me worried for the Human race.

  • @dazili41

no, sorry, it's not meant to be taken sarcastically. Sweet and Simple, it's Weezer selling out.

Jermaine Dupri wrote the lyrics, and gave them to Rivers Cuomo because he claimed, as the Alone II liner notes say, that "the rock world and the hip-hop world were really the same: they were both all about partying."

The song was first performed live at the Alone II Jam Session before the album was released. It was Rivers' personal pick for the set list.

  • they always reinvented themself with stupid looks, or mixing different styles...its all good

  • DEVO from 21st. century?

  • i am obsessed with this band

  • @kbunna They have kind of been the best band out there for the past 15 or so years :p

  • its funny how they are all in white jumpsuits

    XD

  • rivers said he is always trying to challenge his fans, like, remember when he grew that mustache? but anyway he IS super into this song, it might be his favorite on Raditude.. ( i watch too many weezer interviews ) i love this video for the intro and for rivers rapping weezys verse at 2:45 .. hilarious "the unusual is the fuckin usual" haaa

  • he grew the mustache to honor the birth of his daughter.

  • oh really? oh i didnt know that was also why he did that

  • tht is weird

  • The song is a complete and total satire of the modern rap industry. Hilarious and with some definite truth to it too. Another awesome song from Weezer.

  • Haha I love that people assume that it's satire when Rivers is being completely serious with it.

  • this unnatural weezer, this all feels wrong

  • you might be reading the song wrong.

  • my sister and our friend ditched me to go see this show...i got outta school early to meet up with them and they friggin ditched me...douchebags..

  • LOL, Rivers glasses fogged up.

  • It's the fuckin usual

  • Love how Rivers says "My girls are mutual, bitchez its weezer and weezy" lol. Rivers is the man.

  • Nerd Rock kicks ass. :)

  • "Can't Stop Partying". I can't see any party over there. They just seem so bored

  • @altecrl

    That's why its ironic...

  • I don't think they sold out really. If you look at the contrast between songs, it seems more like they're just doing what they've always been doing, which is their own thing.

  • uh.. they sold out

  • I know I can't find tickets anywhere ;~)

  • yeah they are real crap now.

  • this song is almost satirical in a way. they obviously aren't going to write all of their songs like this...

  • @lckatz34 tell me exactly HOW they sold out? because this song has drum machines and synthesizers? or is it the appearance of lil wayne?

  • dang these guys really sold out on this one with lil wayne

  • I love the contrast between this version and the version on Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo. They are so different.

  • weezer is pretty freaking amazing

  • weezer ias absoulutely amazzing!!! i love them!!! im ur biggest fan!!! =))))

  • Rivers is a musical genius. He is weezer without him there is no weezer. He is so innovative and there is no one like him. One of the greatest of all time!

  • Great song, especially with Josh Freese on drums

  • i wish they would play the version they played in Korea with the kickin drums and distorted guitars

  • First Time I Ever Heard Rivers Say Fuck Its Sureal Cause He Has Such A Role Model Like Attitude

  • He didnt even say it, he said freakin

  • im pretty sure he distorted the word fuckin by saying frickin

  • coyho88j, i thought i'm the only one who heard it, hahaha...hell yeah! i've been listenin to `em since early 90's and it's my first time to heard he used the F word on his song live! lol!

  • Scott....is....SWEATY O.O lol

  • RAD.

  • hmmm the funny or sad thing about this is that the album simply aint sellin!

  • well just like the rest of the albums coming out these days, albums just dosen't sells anymore AT, ALL.

    we're in 2009 dude, it's all over.

  • this song was good when he released it on Alone II and it's still good. Admittedly, the final album version is not my favorite, but this live version is guitar heavy and I love the feel of it. Yes, the blue album and pinkerton were fucking amazing. No, we probably will not see anything to equal them again. Times change and Weezer has progressed and altered their sound. I still love them and hope to see them live many more times.

  • @thislittlemelodyx thanks for being rational. they do go through phases but others have to think about it, besides blue, none of their albums have been instantly loved by their fans. and they know that. last night at bamboozle they played 5 songs total off the last 2 cd's. they're not delusional. i see them as a band who continues to be relevent because they adapt and keep things interesting, but never forget their roots.

  • @thislittlemelodyx i agree 100% live version much more guitar heavy and yes they have progressed and altered their sound. However, any band that has been around more then 10 years has done that. Sometimes they come back to their roots. For better or for worse.

  • @thislittlemelodyx amen for that!

  • @nickolass lol i love when people call bands sell outs cuz they don't like there new sound

  • Intro is good and all but it is not the weezer that we all know! and he sucks at raping, he should let lil wayne stick with it!

  • Comment removed

  • Seriously? This is Weezer evolving well maintaining their characteristics. It is a great tune! This live version is F-ing amazing! That is a funny comment about the "Christian rock progression" haha, people never sees to try and find the negative, even when its outlandish.

  • Love the intro on guitar *_*

    :)

    =W=

  • i agree its a good song but look at them they look like hell its not weezer they have sold out this is not the weezer everyone knows and loves

  • Dude, it's a good song.

Also, the album version rocks. Nothing wrong with some RnB influence.

  • nah dude theres nothin wrong with rnb influenbce im just sayin from an early weezer fan blue album, pinkerton, this is total garbage. hes using christian rock chord progessions. his heart just isnt in it anymore.

  • Christian chord progression?

That's a load of bullshit, man. It's a standard rock/pop progression, christian or not, and Weezer is a rock/pop band.

  • well if u like music that sux like your mom then more power to ya homo.

  • Trying to insult me personally won't help your case.

Go be a dumbass somewhere else.

  • ok go get pissed off at other people for theyre opinions somewhere else you slice of shit. hahaha suchs fags on the internet get a life already

  • How old are you? Im pretty sure your mom stuff stopped in like 6th grade...at least handle a conversation maturely. This song IS Weezer, because Weezer wrote it and is playing it. Im pretty sure the band decides whats Weezer lol.

  • Mr. Shriner is pulling a Geddy Lee

  • holy shit these vids/show is amazing quality. glad i stumbled across this.

  • This is madness. Awesome.

  • ps this is epic with the distortion.
