Think of it like this when Sora and ventus joined hearts in Birth By Sleep (the game) which in turn when Sora separated his and Kairi's heart KH1, which created Roxas (and Namine).

Ventus's heart went into Roxas and thus, he has emotions.

I love coming onto these vids and clearing things up lol. Feels like my duty after I've studied the storyline so hard. I still could be wrong, there are a few things I have to guess, but here goes. Ventus took shelter in soras heart. In KH when sora released his heart, vens heart was released too. That's why "soras" nobody looks like ven. Roxas is actually vens nobody. Which, if true, raises a few interesting questions. Where's Soras nobody, and where is vens heartless?

@gotmilk2345 Isn't Ven's Heartless the guy Master Xehanort made from the darkness in his heart? I seriously just got BBS today for Christmas along with a PSP, but I've read a bit about it. Anyway, seeing as how Sora himself only turned into a Shadow in KH1 after releasing his own heart, I'm assuming his Nobody was a Dusk. But that doesn't really mean anything considering Sora seemed to get both his heart and body back, so theoretically there should not be a Nobody of Sora's running around.

@gotmilk2345 Roxas is indeed Ven's nobody. Ven did take shelter in Sora's heart. When sora was turned into a heartless it was Ven's heart that was sent out. Sora still has a heart. Which is why he could turn back from a heartless. Kairi's light helped him come back. Since Sora stil has his heart, he hasn't got a nobody. Ven hasn't got a heartless because, I believe, Roxas has his heart. Which is why Diz and Riku are baffled by how he can "feel" emotions. It's just my theory.

Nobody, I'm not sure, because Vanitas was the dark part that was ripped from Ven's heart, so when Ventus lost his heart in the end, he didn't create a Nobody, as they were only created from someone who has darkness in their heart. (So Ven destroyed his darkness, so I don't think he even created a Heartless/Nobody.)

I always thought that since Ven's heart was incomplete (Vanitas not being a part of his heart anymore), Roxas was part of Sora's heart and what was left of Ven's heart. So Roxas is Sora's nobody (and possibly Ven's...), and Vanitas is like Ven's heartless because he's made of the darkness in Ven's heart. Remember, heartless do have hearts, that's why they go to Kingdom Hearts after being killed. Then again, I could just be reading too much into all of this...

@slinkyrabbit27 That Heartless Sora form you sometimes turn into is called "Anti-Form". Since Sora turned into a Heartless before, that form still kind of lingers inside of him. So if you use your drive forms too much, you have a chance of turning into Anti-Form, which is a side-effect. However, Final Form doesn't run the chance of you becoming Anti-Form.
