  • i would kill for a spoon cluster, congrats on that. If youre ever willing to sell please let me know.

  • hey lemme rev to high heaven because we all know oils lubricates instantaneously at start up, dumbass..

  • @vortex2450 maybe your POS can't take it, but a teg can! SHO= biggest shitwagon ever made.

  • love the cluster man.

  • THE REVS, ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont know how high this particular engine can actually rev, but nice car nonetheless

  • its not trubo ure in vacum the whole time.....wtf

  • @mdskater210 he wasnt driving...

  • @mdskater210 what are you fucking stupid or something? I hope you cant be serious with this question.

  • dude pillar gauges are gay

  • ENJOYED WAT??? u should of test drive dat son of a bitch bro

  • digital rev counter is more accurate than the stock one..i dont know about spoon cluster,a stock b18c actually revs @8484 before limiter kicks in.stock cluster is a liar don t know the reason why ,anyway i like b18c they have potential and they re fun too..from a little 4 cyl1798cc you can pump out a lot of power .no stock 1.8 aspirated have such power she s the best .if you have some grands to trow away and know professionals engine builders it can be very powerful

  • What's the point of that digital tach? lol

  • @lovesthebass u r a moron its a turbo timer....

  • @streetlethaleg6 Not sure how it measures anything turbo related as it matches the RPMs exactly, but ok.

  • @lovesthebass hahahahahahahahahaha jesus digital tach..?? not to hate but dude come on its a turbo timer

  • How come people say it was cold? pause at 0:39

    It doesn't look cold. :)

  • nice cluster from spoon

  • so fucking dumb ass the car was cold u fucking NewB

  • type-r revs to 8800rpm factory tuned so i don´t know what kind of integra this is... but definetly not a JDM itr. japanese itr are the most tuned itr´s and here in europe we rev up to 8800rpm before the rev limiter cut the ignition.

  • cold dont hurt em, just breaks it in

  • J enjoyed with but show us 0-200 acceleration NOW!!!

  • no shit it was cold...

  • rev your half warm engine smoooth

  • thats water temp not oil noob

  • 8580! MUHAHA

  • man was it worth the cost.. lol

  • Why are you idling so high?

  • the car was cold

  • @hextor300g

Ye, sure, the car was cold....he takes fucking lot of work in the car by himself and dont know how to handle the engine *gg*

You are a star behind the moon...

  • @hextor300g

    are you stupid

it's at operating temperature and idling low...

    dumbass

  • its called warm up.....

  • Cold start. Look at temp gauge.

  • drive much? prob not.

  • engine is cold smart guy

  • does anyone know where i can get these clocks from for my EK4? this wouldbemuch appreciated thanks

  • Spoon doesn't make them anymore for the DC2 or the EK9, so you'll have to search the auctions. They aren't cheap, so be ready to pay $500 to $1000

  • The only thing I don't like about the Spoon gauge cluster, is that it maxes @ 240...

I would keep the Spoon RPM gauge but Switch the speedometer for a Mugen...

    ...But that's just me...

  • I don't see the point. ITR's don't even get up to 240K/m

  • Where the hell did you hear that?

a stock JDM ITR 98+ can do 262.32 kmh max...

a stock USDM ITR 00+ can to 259.1 kmh max...

... the USDM GSR can do 233.35 kmh max...

Maybe ur thinking of the GSR?

  • By god who cares how fast they go. I would be more worried about acceleration. if you think about it. Yeah my car can go 135 mph but it takes a year and a half. you can make a car go more then 262km but you would have to switch out gears etc. I love honda/acura all import cars i just see so many ppl raving on how fast it can go but how fast it gets up there is more impressive.

  • wow your a blithering idiot ......

  • nice gauge cluster just a lil too expensive for me....

  • brutal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your Tackometer and the thingy on top of your steering wheel is not the same. ur Tack was reading approx. 1570rpm and the digital thingy says 1400

  • Nah, it was more of 1500 rpm on the tach and 1480 on the digital thing. Thats well within the margin of error for humans.

  • for real let the shit warm up dude... and second im callin bullshit bout it bein boosted

  • i second the bs

  • let the engine warm first

  • yea if you want the engine to last a while dont rev it while its cold.

  • lol dont stock type r's rev up to more?

  • if u noticed his temp gauge shown the engine already heated up. Mostly he drove for awhile then went home to pick up his cam and start camcording after.

  • if YOU noticed it at the begining it was colder than 2 dead dogs balls

  • y u revn ur engine when u just started ur car..and ur cars boosted and u didnt even let the oil temperature warm up....man u must not give a shit about ur engine....every1 knows that with turbo engines ur suppose to let it heat up b4 driving or reving up the engine or there goes ur engine

  • maybe you can get your word out better if you didn't fail english in 4th grade.

  • OMG!!! thats the best you can do??? make fun of his english, thats sad.

  • Well I find it hilarious how some people are so dumb thy can't even speak English right. I find it sad how people like that try to sound all smart but they utterly fail when they try to communicate their ideas. This is the point of YouTube comments. I thrive off people like you.

  • you do know that not everyone can speak english? at least he tried unlike what you did just make fun of his english. you wrote me a smart comment then i'm sure you can come up with a better come back than his english.

  • If he was an immigrant where english isn't his first language, then I would have no problem with that, I'd try to help him if I could. But obviously this guy is one of those 12 year old ricers who think they are the shit. What are you talking about? I'm not trying to make a comeback or anything of that matter. I'm just mocking the idiocy of his/your comment.

  • Oh! Ok then.

  • who gives a shit about proper english online. You can't form proper sentences and spell right yourself.

  • Oh really now? Do you wanna bet on that?

  • "Oh really now? Do you wanna bet on that? "

haha you call that proper english?

  • Yes.

  • Capitalizations, spelling, and punctuations marks dont make a sentence proper English. what im saying is not proper. what you said isnt proper. when you talk with someone you are not using proper english. They have fragments up the ass now stop trying to be smart. cause if you really did use proper english it will sound more stupid than when it is proper. haha or maybe you do like sounding like an essay.

  • I'm not trying to sound like I'm in my english class. I just get really pissed off when people T4LK lYkE diS. What i mean by speaking english is actually making sense in what they're saying, not going "OMGZZZ DIS CAR SUX, I HAVE 999999HP I CAN BEAT UU" instead, speaking like they weren't raised along with farm animals. Speaking the way you are or the way I am is what I call proper when applied to everyday conversations.

  • YOU CAN ALL GO FUCK YOURSELF. I actually just put that to hear it on audio preview. Sweet cluster

  • that cluster is over priced and gey.

    Late.

What kind of cam/build is gonna let you rev to 11k?

The most crazy ones money can buy mabey.

Stupid to put that much money into a honda motor.

Kills what it was meant to be.

    500hp turbo civics cant handle.

  • Good thing it wasn't your money that was spent right.

  • niceee bro

  • a dude here selling that cluster for $900 shits a waste imo you will never hit 11k rpms without a shitload of work done and even then youll be lucky to hit 10k

  • How come you reving your engine so high when it is cold?

  • do they make a American/ Mph verison of that cluster?

  • No, but I think you can get some kind of signal converter that calibrates it to MPH. These meters are uber rare now though. Even in Japan, they run upwards of a $1000 or more.

  • i knew they were rare already.. its like trying to find a needle in a needle hay stack right..lol

  • Very clean car I watched your other vids very nice lots of work went into it great job check out my rex sneaking into the LVMS

  • more bullet proof than a domesticated engineered automobile.

  • That cluster is bad ass.

  • does spoon clusters only come in Km/h? cause i would hate to have to do the math of .6 of mp/h and i heard they quit making clusters like this is that true cause i heard the price is like at a grand a pop for them

  • yes... true!

  • Holy cold start batman! Why is this ricer revving his engine in neutral after a cold start? Hello Rod knock!

  • wtf is rod knock??? your retarded, it will just wear everything out faster, and put a lot more stress on the engine....

  • If you look at his temp gauge you will see his motor is not cold. Plus, in 1 minute you have already cycled all oil in the motor already. these are not old V8 motors after all. Be a little more observant before talking crap, it may save you opening your mouth and sounding like a moron.

  • even if all the oil circulated, that makes no difference. if the parts in the engine are still cold, they will wear out faster. for example, if you rev it up a lot when its cold(high rpm), the engine will heat up a lot faster than if it idles/lightly revs up to temp, which means the metal in the engine is expanding/heating really fast, meaning that after the metal cycles from cold to hot a million times if you do it all the time, the metal becomes weaker. also, cold seizure can happen

  • The temp gauge is on the LEFT. He didn't start with NO fuel and the gradually get half a tank.

  • yea obviously. thats what i said. when he starts the car, the gauge is all the way on the left, which is cold. your umb

  • My god. Left side of the cluster, not the needle is on the left. If you have a pulse you can see the video has been editted after the car wamred up.

  • dude, read how this comment thing started i said nothin about where the gauges were, and then you just said its on the left. and yes, he spliced two vids together after it warmed up. all i said so far on this video is that why its bad to rev your engine when its cold.

  • premature engine failure^^^

  • exactly my son, exactly. you might be the only smart person on youtube. at least, youre the first ive seen.

  • Why does it matter if he revs it up when its cold. I rev my engine not that high... when i first start it but i want to get it going. Believe me the car is fine its a "honda" so why does it matter.

  • hahaha, o no dont rev it when its cold. screw that, i live in PA and when its 730 in the morning and its mid january, and its 13 degrees out, i start it up and rev the piss out of it all the way to work, who cares its a honda.

  • loll hahah....i beat da shit outta my civic n accords everyday!! n they r alive!!...tru say!

  • "who cares it's a honda" Its still a gasoline 4stroke engine smart one, Just because its a honda doesn't mean the internals are bulletproof.

  • drive the fucking thing then!

  • nothing to enjoy lol

    that guy is a noob

  • anyway you look at it its never a good idea to rev the engine with no load. Also, why do it in the first place, I really never got the concept of doing that. About running the motor cold, I live in Canada, and driving a car cold at decent rpms will not hurt anything, I give it maybe a min in -30( it warms up WAY quicker when driving rather than letting it idel), I never had a problem with any of my cars, and I have owed 4,6,and 8 cyl cars/trucks.

  • dude your a retard, he blips the throttle a couple times when its cold.... so what!

When he revs it higher, pause it and you will see the engine is not cold / end of story

  • In a cold engine, the pistons haven't expanded to full size yet. This Not only lets oil into the combustion chamber, but the piston will vibrate and can damage the cylinder walls. Just so we all know.

  • sorry I replied to the wrong guy

  • hey man its all good

i never said it wasn't warm and ive blipped the throttle on a cold engine myself, im just saying that it isn't healthy.

and just so you know, im definately interested in the build on your car, im gonna have to check your vids later

  • loser

  • That Spoon Cluster is FTW!

  • car was cold and reved it that high!!!

  • The car wasn't cold, look at the gauges.

  • yes the gauge is on cold!!!!

And if it wasnt cold then why was it idling high when the engine started up????? explain

  • oh shit sorry i was wrong, it was cold on startup but obviosly he reved it higher later on when the engine warmed up , i didnt look at the temp gauge at 30 secz.

  • the car was cold the temp gauge was on the left the gas gauge was on the right

  • At 0:36 seconds, look at the temp gauge, on the left.

Revving a car cold isn't dangerous. The oil is pumped through the block while the starter is cranking, meaning there is no problems with lubrication.

  • yes,but at proper engine temp there is minimal wear as thats how engines are designed, plus reving a turbo that high with no load is not good either.usaualy operating temperature is in the middle of the guage,at no point in this video did see that

  • who cares? I do it to my car, just because the coolant was cold does not mean that the oil is cold, I can easily shut my car down and the coolant be cold and the oil still warm. You fail!

  • It is good practice to get the engine at operating temperature though. oil works better when its warm not cold. i never rev my car over 2500rpm when its cold. i always wait till its warm, then cane the shit out of it lol. but thats me. u do what u want with your cars. =D

  • this car is warm, look at the coolant temp when he rev's it, it is cold at the beginning.

BTW why the fuck is everyone so anal about this guy reving his car if it was cold? Its his fucking car, let him do what he wants.

  • no. look again

  • stupid know where is the gauge is before u talk..

  • it was cold.

  • hey how much do ur car boost up too??

  • can't believe you turboed it why oh why defeats the object of honda all together *sigh*

  • for each is own...if you don't like it then don't watch...plain and simple

  • Boosted... Yuck lol

  • Hey can i ask what color does the gauges light up as?

  • SPOON CLUSTER AND ON BOOST.?

  • yeah...I didn't think spoon clusters cares of the car is NA or boosted (shrugs)

  • It really doesn't matter its your car but the spoon sports company is reknowned for all engine cars thats basically their bread and butter

  • you have like 50 rpm gauges

  • I have one RPM gauge on the cluster and a VTEC controller that just happened to be displaying the rpms....the other gauges display other engine conditions...please look carefully before commenting

  • yeah ok...whatever net troll... now go bother someone else

  • hey dat was my cousin whos a muscle car head, but now i see wat you are talking about, but i would prefer a v8 myself but an import isnt bad tho

  • ignorant. go kill some more gas

  • Oh spoon duh... mhm

  • what kind of Gauge cluster is that? Pretty sure type r's dont have the ornage line...

  • thats is a spoon gauge sir or miss

  • that crap looks tight...2 THUMBS UP

  • nice dude

  • i hate people who argue on here,

    internet losers with no life

  • looking at the sensor later in the clip, it has moved up to the normal position for warm coolant. you really are a bunch of fiddling retards. leave your cars alone, go to school. educate yourselves. the world is highly competitive and intelligence is prized. the human brain can be improved. It's going to require hard work, but you can do it!

  • that cluster is bad ass but dam cost about 900.00 and rare.

  • OMG revving a cold engine...?? That's Shit!

  • The engine was not cold when I took it to the redline. The car had been idle for almost 20 minutes

  • your coolant temp gauge says otherwise

  • Dude...look again...I rev the engine to 5000rpms at 60 degrees celcius. Then I took it to the revline when the engine was at 80+ degrees. The spoon instrument cluster doesn't give an accurate read out but the Apexi Power FC does.

  • no you look again. its so clear! temp gauge bottomed out, you rev to about 6000. that's not good for a few reasons.

and you're right about the inaccuracy, the needle takes time, so you may be higher than 6000. ears don't lie

  • Whatever dude..not gonna argue with you

  • between 17 and 20 second in the clip, look a tthe temp gauge, then play it again at the same point and watch the RPM. you can't miss it if you do it that way.

  • dude if you notice the temp gauge never moves thru out the entire clip so apparently that gauge isnt really working

  • its not that it isn't working. i am a mechanic. im telling you it would appear his car is not warmed up. goodbye

  • ooo so what if you're a mechanic some times a gauge doesnt work...the temp gauge in my car stopped working at one point didnt mean that my car wasnt warm

  • looking at the idle rpm, it's clear that this engine is not warmed up. DRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • the gauge on the far left is bottomed out- and that is the temp gauge, correct? (it sure seems like it!)

  • woulda been nice to see it in action instead of poop revving at a stop

  • see other vids

  • not impressed. The car sounds very weak.

  • whatever

  • oic ic thank you lol, where did u get it?? i can only find the mugen 1's!!

  • I found mine on a auction here..not cheap tho. I got mine for $600, but I have seen them go for as high as $1100

  • what type of cluster is that?

  • As it says in the title, its a "Spoon" cluster.

  • Enough of the revving. Lets see some acceleration vids of that car to prove how fast it is.

  • see my other vids

  • is it really turboed? because Vtec engines are shit turbod cuz u have 3 power bands, it jut ruins the car. i was thinking bout turboing my dc2 teg but then ithought fuk it keep savin and get the S/C

  • check the other vids, VTEC engines are awesome turbo'd. that's why Honda has started making them standard

  • i'll buy it off of you for $25000 hehe j/k

  • wheres the VTEC

  • ?? VTEC doesn't engage in neutral or when the engine is cold

  • when he first started it the choke was running- so the idle is higher =)

  • why is your idle so high

  • my idle is at 750-800rpms...notmal

  • which video dude THA ACCELERATION VIDEO IS HOT DUDE I GIVE YOU PROPS FOR IT BUT I STILL WANT TO SEE IT IN ACTION AGAINST ANOTHER CAR AIGHT!!!!!!!!!

  • seeing those rpm's in one rev sends chills down my spine... ooooooooooo ;)

  • nice but i would've been cool to see it in action

  • see my other vid..
