@AlexisV21 the point of rugby is to score tries, a tri is scored by running the bacll into the other teams trizone, and touching the ball to the ground, the team with the most tries at the end of the game, wins. :D

not exactly correct, tries are a way of scoring, but you can also drop kick between the goal posts for a few points, theres also conversions after tries like in american football, so its more like the more points you score you win

and you should really have a few (2-4) phases where u allow the forwards to hit it up then if nothing good is happening you should pass it out to the backs, they then can give the chip over the heads and score or whatever...

I would love to show someone how to run somebody over though, and how to make somebody look like an idiot when he tries to hit me when I have the ball. These are the advanced drills my friends and they are the ones that make a rugby practise fun!! and also if you want to learn how to pass really well even while you are getting hit or maybe just out in the open. most canadians and americans lack these basic skills the most and thats why these videos are kinda ironic!! lol

what these guys are doing is great just so i dont offend the americans or canadians, but on a more serious note nothing they are teaching is advanced, advanced drills are played live and with real people not a bag representing a person. The best way to learn though is to actually play and to practise for yourself, you need to hand eye co-ordination to perfect any of these drills so there is no way of doing that other than to practise it live!

I live in Finland and we have only few clubs here and the closest to me are quite far away. Some people don't have the chance for practice 2 - 3 times a week and the best I can do to begin with is watch and analyze videos to get to know basic techniques and tactics. There are also 15 positions on the field and there's not enough time for 1 or 2 coaches to guide everyone through it all and refine their skills. That's where videos like this come in handy.

Lets settle this. With your foot facing downward you create a harder foot therefore a better kicking surface, the ball will go further and be more accurate. Fact - This is how Jonny Wilkinson kicks.

that's not true. i play rugby, and to do that kick (a soccer kick) you must put the front of your foot facing downwards. the ball will ALWAYS go forward. this video could really help newbie players.
