Its a decent cover, not as good as the foo's though, it lacks the emotion and excitement you get with grohls vocals and the guitar playing is much slower in this, still a good cover. A lot better than prince's version :D

@ssmit422 You know it's a cover right? Meaning the covering band can sing it in their own way? Listen to the lyrics, they're more suited for a more emotional voice rather than purely anger. Grohl is a legend, don't get me wrong (massive Foo Fighters fan here) but I do like this version just as much. We're all entitled to opinions though, and if you want to spend more time commenting on your dislike for it than actually listening to the song, fair enough :P

I liked the way they toned down the angst and played a quieter version of the song and thought they did great for being live. In fact I didn't realize it was live until the very end. If you like Foo Fighters you should check out my cover of Another Round on my channel.

Coming from a person who isn't particularly a big fan of Stereophonics, I have to admit that that is probably the best cover of this song that I've heard yet. Kelly Jones definitely brought a new take to a song that was originally performed quite heavy from Foo Fighters, and I certainly enjoyed it. I'd go as far as saying he has sung it better that Dave Grohl in the original version. It still can't compare to the original though, anything Grohl does seems to become golden.

I think Kelly does have some bad habits when it comes to singing, but it's his voice, and it's his style, and I think it's beautiful,

and this cover is actually one of my favourite things the stereophonics have done, along with Maybe tomorrow and Dakota, I think this cover is simply amazing.

the lyrics are perfect for stereophonics' style........and Jones sing the lyrics with more sadness, instead of David Grohl, who sing it with anger...... it's a quite sad lyric, so Jones sing it better than Grohl to me (and I'm a Foo's fan).

Moreover, this is a special song to me; It tells the emotions that I feel for a very special person who's with another boy, who always badly behave with her... thanks welsh guys, you perfectly explains my feelings.....

@Alargh Dave Grohl isn't singing with just anger, he's singing with a built up frustration that people aren't letting others see the best of them which is exactly what this song is about, so the way this guy is singing it almost doesn't make sense. Dave Grohl sings it with so much more emotion it almost seems like this guy is just reading from a phone book.

@ACluelessKid , It's quite an accurate copy. As you said, a couple of points where they skipped. In general I'm not averse to covers, but this doesn't work at all, IMO. Phonics lead singer does have a good voice, but this version doesn't make an individual impression... nothing new, or innovative. It's like 'conservative' stylish karaoke, by a vaguely familiar copy-cat, sat in a lounge bar. Sure Dave wouldn't mind though... leads to more people seeking out the original, and unbeatable, version
