in the second game his mind was actually taken over, but by the end of the fourth game you find out he removed liquid's arm so it would stop taking over his mind, however he still acted like liquid and took the name to fool the patriots in helping snake against outer haven. Ocelot was never fighting for outer haven but for Big Boss. It took me a while to figure it out lol

Liquid, ever since the first game, wanted to establish a haven (like Big Boss) from the patriots, so the patriots, using naomi, had snake implanted with the Fox die virus to kill off liquid and the remaing founders so that no one could destroy them. However, with liquid back in the body of ocelot, the threat reamerged. In the fourth game ocelot used that threat to convince the patriots he was still liquid

@OGdbleE no, liquid was able to take over cus ocelot had little bit of powers similar to his dad sorrow. some spirit powers which enabled ocelot to be taken over liquid. after that, he faked all that in MGS4 so he could help big boss. so actually, ocelot was an underdog hero. a hero that stayed in the shadows. he was never bad, he always wanted to fight big boss cus he knew big boss was the best. but he got to fight his son

@blackeagle214 Nah man I read on wikipedia that Ocelot purposefully let Liquid take his personality over. That doesn't mean that he wasn't liquid he just knew that he would have to let liquid take him over in order to get past the patriots. "Liquid Ocelot" was still liquid acting.

@brybry19871987 well don't read the wiki, read the official konami created encyclopedia of mgs. I've found out that the wiki is unreliable on those touchy mgs topics. If he had wanted liquid in then Ocelot would have never kept shouting "get out of my head liquid!". That's why he opted for a transplant (without the patriots knowing) as soon as the technology existed (before the biomechanical technology existed, the best grafters could only use pre-existing tissue "mgs1-2").

I have to say that I didn't really like Liquid Ocelot. I liked Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot, but not Liquid Ocelot.

yep,in mgs3 he was young then in mgs1 he is old and take liquid arm and in mgs2 he suffer the pain of his arm and sometimes get controled by liquid,same in mgs4
