it's quite noticeably fatter than the original diamond. Is it because of CDMA or a higher capacity battery? The original battery is sooo crap, mine doesn't even hold a day, really. My old XDA Orbit could hold up to 4 days, even after almost two years of usage

the only drawbacks to the instinct is that it locks up frequently if you watch sprint tv, there aren't many applications to download, and the battery life isn't very good. But you do get a spare battery.

Overall the instinct is cool, but i'm trading it in for the diamond tomorrow. I watch alot of sprint tv and I can't stand the lockups

I cannot agree with you. The Simply Everything Plan is a great deal, and so far has not let me down on my Mogul. Service has been widely available and totally fast for my phone with no hickups of service or fees. We recently bought the instinct and had bad customer service with that one but they switched it with a Blackberry Pearl, even though we were a month over the return policy.

Actually the iPhone was not the first touch screen phone. iPhone was not even the first ALL touch screen phone. The Htc Touch came out b4 the iPhone, and so did the Lg Prada, and many others.

It depends if you text often, if so, the touch pro would be a better choice because it has a slide out full qwerty keyboard. It is also slightly larger than the touch diamond. The choice is yours. Good Luck!

well, my sister has the instinct and while it's a great phone the diamond looks nicer and elegant and most likely has stronger software. the touch flo software is sick. if i had to choose between which to buy, it would be the diamond.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the Windows MObile platform has more software then the instinct, because of how many years the winmo has been out. Right now XDA Devs have been developoing like crazy for this phone and came out with excellent applications to utilize the accelerometer.

but yea if you want a full touch screen you should probably wait for the HD. that thing is a monster. the HD is 5 mp camera and 3.8" display.

and although kinda soon. ive heard the storm has a biiiiiiig learning curve.

it might not be as nice looking as the gsm veresion but im gettin the phone for the features and what it can do and how the SCREEN looks and the casing just seems irrelevant when it comes down to it...n i duno i kinda like the color they picked for the back its not tacky at all...and id rather have a battery that will last an extra hour and be a little thicker than to sacrifice battery lif for a better looking design

I think that the original Diamond's back would become a smudgy piece of shit after a few weeks, and the bigger battery that otherwise couldn't fit in there is a big plus for me. I'm hoping to pick one up in a few days when my contract expires and I can get a rebate. You know, I'm not a fan of Windows Mobile smartphones, but I really do like when companies change the windows mobile interface and spruce it up a bit. The only thing is...it still looks too hard to use your finger. I don't like having to use a stylus all the time and the icons on there look a little small for finger use but I haven't actually used it so idk.
