  • FUS RO DAH!

  • OMFG ITS DOVAHKIIN

  • The goal is to make a sound that has the same frequency of the glass, but a higher amplitude i.e volume. That way when they resonate the glass shatters.

  • im sure that this video is real no doubt about it, but lets admit, he looks like a plonker when he's screamin into the glass like that xD

  • Why would he hold it right to his face

  • it always need a F#5 note in falsetto voice.....

  • No its not fake u morons, the glass breaks because of the vibrations in the air. Every single object in existance has what is called a resonance freaquency, witch is the rate at witch the object vibrates, hit it and BAM! broken glass all over your floor pick up a science book once in a while... :)

  • when you reach what they call the natural harmonic frequency of the glass, it smashes.

  • resonance

  • omg LOL

  • if it caught your mouth, that's not good/

  • nice bro well done, all the haters post their own videos of them doing it, to prove your not tone deaf . haha

  • well now i know it can be done, wow

  • that's incredible !!

  • you obviously watched that tool of a vocal instructor before doing this. Why do you have a cut straw in the glass? He only did that to prove his voice was making the glass vibrate and subsequently break. It has absolutely no physical effect on the results. You just end up looking foolish, or looking like you drink wine foolishly through a straw. Either way, you lose. lol

  • Oh gosh darn! I didn't want to lose. I wanted to be a carcinopunk winner. Maybe on the next video I make for you. lol. omg.roflmao. ttyl

  • what the hell is this carcino guy saying. he's not making any sense and his logic is screwed up

  • my teacher did that at university

  • mythbusters FTW

    this video FTL

  • OMG!

  • in the beinging there is like the brown noise on or somthing lol

  • u must be a girl too that

  • It is possible. It was on Mythbusters and what they state is usually true.

  • Yes it is possible but it has to be the thinest glass possible and you must hit the right resonance. You don't have to be an opera singer.

  • Jamie Vendera says it's very, very heavy glass that is most likely to shatter -- not the thinnest possible. If you see the "Glass Shattering Montage by Jamie Vendera" he'll describe it there. But you're right -- not an opera voice, but a pitch-perfect voice.

  • bullshit, very very possible. Shut up. You dumbos think everything is fucking fake because all you do is surf the web all day

  • Merkabastar your so very right lol

  • haha fuck ur a dumbass

  • if you have a good sense of pitch you can get it immediately.

  • Yes, we read it, and you're still wrong. It does not take long to break a glass once you can hit the resonant frequency of the glass, and some glasses are quite thin (to the point where this can be done very quickly). Saying it's "nearly impossible" is nonsense and just reflects your ignorance on the subject matter. Why not try looking it up and reading up on it before you tell others to think things through?

And your comment, "that is fake because we have no proof he did it" is silly.

  • @CaptJay12 Yeah actually all you have to do is tap the rim of the glass and the 'clinking' noise it makes is the pitch you need to sing.

  • ""its nearly impossible to break a glass with your voice. that's fake"" -

    CaptJay12

No it's not to hard. All you need is a fairly good pitch, a loud voice (easier for guys) and the right glass. This guy is very good. He could probably break a bunch in a row.

The funny thing is that it's way easier to break the glass than set up some elaborate fake ;)

  • Wow! O_o

  • haha cool
