The right wing is really going fucking bonkers. What's especially unnerving is the increase in violent, eliminationist rhetoric. In my home state of Oklahoma, a state legislator (Sally Kern) talked about gays as a "cancer" and said that when you get cancer in a body part, you cut that part off. What's especially irritating is that the people making these kinds of comments will feign innocence when one of their followers guns somebody down.

I really don't like the term "pro-lifer", it's a lousy description of what these people are about. I mean, other than regular madmen like abortion doctor killers, who is not pro-life?
