I still don't understand how come the mom didn't notice? I don't understand how come the dad didn't take action? How come the child around the briggs showed reluctance? I believe that the judge didn't put Kelsey into the state's custody because of of the system. Remember that many institutions (like orphanages and foster care) are under funded. His decision was based on a cost-benefit analysis for the system.  We can't only blame one person, but everyone who notice and did not take action.

he says that from his point of view Raye was cooperating with the procedures and all the reports told him that Raye was low risk in drug abuse and that the step-dad was described by his other kids as a 'good dad'. Also he says that the child showed preference for the mom. I doubt he is lying because all of this can be proven in court records which I believe should be available for the public. I honestly believe that the step-dad was the abuser, but what I still don't understand is why.

If Lance did not know, it's because he chose not to know. AT ANY TIME he could have left him deployment(if he was at the time) to go home to make sure Kelsey was ok. I know how the military works, you can leave anytime there is an emergency, no matter where you are in the world. I'm just saying he chose not to do so. He was just as much her parent as Raye was. Her father was in Iraq so he couldn't help her. Her grandparents visitation was stopped in june 2005. From June till October that left Michael Porter and Raye Dawn as the only ones in in Kelsey's life.

Its obvious that its shadows and because of the pic being of poor quality.

Look at Mikes left cheek, arm and leg- it looks as if he has bruises too!

Its NOT bruises, its the quality of the pic and the way it transferred to video...

IF u think that they are not bruises then find a pic of good quality and see. 100 guarinte that mikes bruise isint real or raye dawn but u find a good or bad pic of kelsey the bruise will still be there. I have a 3 year old I knw they get bruisis, But the only time my girl gets one on the face is if she falls or runs into somthing. Not from playing. Those are always on her shins and arms.
