I have a great deal of respect for the IDF and their professionalism, their prowess and their inventiveness.

I hope however that one day, Israelis and Palestinians will live in true peace and recognise that they are/were once both outcast people and find a common ground in that recognition. And that both Israelis and Palestinians can live prosperous, peaceful ives, without religious hatred. But I'm afraid that's a long way from reality.

Until then, I hope the IDF will remain strong.
