Blue eyed wolf boy-brother lost his way

half Indian half cowboy-both parts of never-stay.- Soap bubbles at the enterance of on-ramps to the heart.-sometimes so together

    most times so apart.

no sane ones would have kept you and the crazies couldn't say, those things you needed to have heard to get you through each day.

The giving back - The taking, those lessons dressed in time. No sane ones would have kept you, and that was such a crime.

  • Hey, thanks so much for these videos. They're awesome. Little Hawk was a close friend. Let me tell you, that man has seen some amazing days. He's not your average dude. I haven't seen him in years, and I got kids, so I got off the road, but we used to travel together here and there. Watching these makes me feel...I miss him and wish I could sit around the firepit, or alongside that road just one more time...there's more to say about him than there's room to write...I wish I checked in earlier...

  • R.I.P. little hawk

    lovin you brother

  • We will be laying his ashes in Shawnee National Forest in Illinois in October. We are really missing him!

  • so sorry! that he's past on! a good man i'm

  • Little Hawk passed away last night due to multiple organ failure. He was my brother and fellow traveler, road dog!

  • beautiful!!! what a wonderful spirit little hawk has!!

  • hahaha, little hawk....he always was a great storyteller.....i have sat at rainbow gatherings and heard all his stories....IF YOU SEE HIM, TELL EM AGGRO DAN FROM TEA TIME SENDS HIS LOVE AND BLESSINGS....man, i have seen this guy feed more hippies than the salvation army, we have sat around plenty of fires, and over the years i came to really respect him, even though he has a crazy side....

  • he actually live all along in the side street?can you tell me more about him...ouch silly me..it was on the vids descrip..i'll read for a while and was stunned what his up for..salute to you and hubby.. theres really a person who loves to embrace the simpleness of mother earth compare to live in its meterialistic facets..and for HONEY..he's an adorable dog ..and feels great that he 's properly taking care of..watta sweet man .sir liltle hawk is..

  • i think saw this again, still hungry for nature video. I just love it and hope to watch some new ones.

    your friend,

    :) Ruben

  • Thank god. ill never forget meeting little hawk behinf my house in the woods next to i 20. he told me this story to. he moved from the woods to the dariy queen and has moved on

  • This series really touched me! One of my oldest friends, who got her doctorate in biophysics from a leading university ten years ago, has chosen to live off the earth with her dog as well. Few 'traditional' people accept her now; I'm the only friend she has left. I find her new 'culture' fascinating. It's sad to see how many have rejected her since her life changed.

You have an enormous heart in addition to your open mind! Bravo for this glimpse into a way of life that far too many ignore.

  • Homeless is just a state of mind for some. Home is where you hang your Heart.

Brother Little Hawk isnt homeless HE'S HOMEFREE!!

    shine on bro!!

  • Wow, what a beautiful thing you are doing with this vid. Very touching.

  • websplasher, Thanks for commenting. :)

  • Dearest Rhonda, You know this doesn't suprise me for one moment. That you befriend this man..with your open heart, is so so wonderful!

Luv ya dear sweet lady, from my heart!

    Happy new Year Rhonda.

    BillyRay, Lise, and Lil' Sophie.

  • BillyRay1952, Please give my best to Lise and Sophie and thank you for taking the time to get to know Little Hawk with me.

  • What a great video series, Rhonda.

I've seen a few homeless people who are surivors like Littlehawk and who shun living in houses for living in the woods. Unfortunately some people attack homeless people and do horrible things to them.

    Anyway, good job ;)

  • JohnBach, This is something Little Hawk had a great concern about. He said people are not as nice as they used to be on the road and he had to keep his guard up.

  • UnLedDead, You have an eloquent way with talking about matters of the heart. So true.

  • Hi Larry, thanks for stopping by. :)

  • I totally agree with MissAnthropic66!

  • Jbear9, me too. :)

  • Man has excellent taste in music. If he wants to come live with me and listen to lots of Merle, that'd be cool! Great video series.

  • ClassicMusicVids, I'm sure you would enjoy having him over for a visit. I really hated to see him move on. I told him I wish he lived around here.

  • I'm with DieselBodine, Rhonda and Dave..FINALLLY well enough to sit up here at the computer for a bit and really watch the whole Little Hawk series! Oh, this is awesome, you guys...I see there are several more 'episodes'...so onwards I go! :)

    Lots of love...

    Joy xo

  • Hi Joy, thanks for taking time to meet him. He was a friendly guy and worth the time. Love ya..

  • Finally! I'm free to explore the World of Little Hawk with you. Interesting points of view he has. Actually, I looked at some of the Little Hawk Series before, but I was was too brain dead to create an intelligent comment. Once I make some Coffee, I'll be on to Video #2. Nice work, Rhonda and Dave!

  • DieselBodine, I put these up for Little Hawk. I know there is a long string of them. I honestly don't expect continual comments, unless people want to do so. At least they get to meet him and that was what this was intended for. Thanks :)

  • This week, around the winter solstice the Romans had a celebration called Saturnalia, perhaps you've heard of it, and its a week long feast, gift giving, dancing naked, drinking wine and the best was the slave class where able to switch place swith their masters and be free and join as equals in the festivities.

i'd like to see Little Hawk in the Whitehouse.

  • MissAnthropic66, and to think the Romans had many more gods than just Saturnalia.

Little Hawk and his dog are awesome. Thanks for commenting.

  • This is a wonderful video Rhonda.

  • great upload man i wish him the best!

  • piranhamaster, I wish him the best too, where ever he is.

  • Why "Little Hawk"? Is he native American?

  • that was a native american story he told about the trees.... does it matter?

  • doesnt matter, it was just curiosity.

  • Kranonk, I remember him saying he was born on a reservation.

  • P*E*A*C*E*

    ! (;

  • citarasa, Peace! :)

  • We should all think about all of the things that we take for granted. I hope Little Hawk & Honey stay safe.

You are such good folks. I look forward to hearing more.

Much Love to You & Dave! *hugs*

  • Hi Teresa, We do take so much for granted. Meeting him made me think about those things. (hugs)

  • Everyone has a story to tell. You did a good thing to a deserving human being. God bless him and you too.

  • RLSguitar he certainly was deserving of more..I wish him safety.

  • berril1, I love him too.

  • Bill had emergency surgery on his ey on thurs. He had a torn retina, that's why I only saw this today.

  • Joy, hoping all works out well with that issue. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

  • Always

  • Oh my God. This is chilling and wonderful all at the same time. I gather this man is a vet who was forgotten. I'm so eager to see the rest of it. Shinning a light on this man just may bring some humanity to other people who escaped his fate

  • Whoa! Fantastic DaveBro & SisRhonda! Thanks so much for putting perfect meaning to our song and like BroVirgil said, "teaching ALL of us" in the process.

"...Next video - Little Hawk invites us to his home in the woods... he was lucky to have the most beautiful home in the world - Mother Earth...."

  • AnnieCanada, The best gift we can give is our time, as Little Hawk reminded us. Thank you for the nice comment. He was very special to us.

  • Great Vid:)Littlehawk is Very Cool:)Poeticly Talented:)Peace and Happiness:)

    RLR

  • rhonda and dave~ u2 are really excellent people! thanx 4 sharing and providing the impetus 2 think! :O)

  • Ericskreemer, I was very thankful for the experience.

  • Little Hawk is a poet. "Greedy trees." I like that.

  • Largo64, I enjoyed the way he told his stories too.

  • Very, very moving, Rhonda. And how beautiful that you took the time to appreciate him...and care.

  • scoutie111, It was very moving to see how good he was at surviving. Something many of us couldn't do as well as he does.

  • Little Hawk seems like aN AWESOME guy..Great Video

    Rocket

  • Ottawarocket, Thank you!

  • he is an intelligent guy, kinda cool. i assume that he is homeless?

  • refici222, yes he is homeless and he was very intelligent.

  • Fabulous. I loved watching this Rhonda xxxxxx

  • PrimaryPurpose, so glad you came by and thank you.

  • The life of other people can be so fascinating when we sit down and take the time to listen. This guy is like a tattered old book that you found in the attic. You started reading it, and you couldn't put it down :)

  • jeffstunes, I thought exactly the same thing. He had so much to share that was out of the ordinary.

  • LOVE TO SEE LITTLE HAWK.

  • moomay11649, Thank you. We wanted everyone to get to know him.

  • I'm glad you are following up with Little Hawk! THanks for posting the site too:) 5*****Jane

  • These vids do give me pause to think. There happens to be a video by TheFamousStacie about what can we do for those in need. I suggest you key word search it, she is also a kind soul. I need to see what organizations are in my area and if they would like a little volunteer time.

  • Bowlingballout, I will check that out. No doubt that many of these people were lost in the shuffle of life and still have much to offer.

  • Interesting video.

  • Chuloloc, Thank you.

  • No problem.

  • Rhonda , arh your man little hawk is a dote = he is sweet however he is intelligent also has contributed to life by serving his country, pity the government in the US do not have some spare change /in their hearts/compassion for ex servicemen living solitary life in the woodlands. They could create a paying job for LH and like minded people give them some land to work and live with dignity , respect he truly desrves. Challenge on his behalf / petiton MPS may be ?

  • lindamac, I do not know all the particulars of his past, other than what he shared with us. What he did share indicates that he was a Vietnam Veteran.

  • good job ;)

  • IIArbiProductionII, Thank you.

  • Seems like an interesting guy to know. I bet he's full of stories.

  • clicb4, The more we knew him the more interesting it became. He certainly had many road stories to tell us and some good insight on what happens to people on the road.

  • This guy Little Hawk, was one of the coolest people I had ever met, I really enjoyed the 3 days we spent with him and his dog Honey!! Infinite # of stars for you, Little Hawk and Honey!!

  • dhaffner101, He was an awesome person wasn't he? We will never forget him. Love you babe.

  • i love this guy,littlehawk... cool viddy rhonda! i'm off to stunoneproductions ;o)

  • strat2caster, I went to the link as well. He told us some of those stories and there is so much more detail behind them. We love him and his dog Honey and miss them both.

  • Hey Dave and Rhonda, I couldn't agree more with uncledave10. I don't really understand how the government could allow a war veteran to be homeless, but maybe it suits Little Hawk not to be tied to one place, either way these guys should be looked after for fighting, whatever the cause was.

    Mike

  • michaeljholme, Little Hawk seemed to have a reason why he stayed on the road. I know he had many reasons that prevented him from acclimating to a settled lifestyle, but it seems society doesn't encourage assistance in these unusual circumstances either.

  • Nice of you guys to be nice to the homeless man . ***** :o)tm

  • uncledave10, thank you for your comment. :)

  • :o)tm
