Thing is...this is not a REAL cemetary - its a 'virtual' one, pixels only! This is probably the most ludicrous iphone app Ive EVER seen!! Something just should not be converted to pixels.
Alright. Touched a nerve. Badly phrased. I just meant from what I gathered MJ fans were among the first to want this application. I'll keep my dead relatives as memorys in my head, thanks. But if people want this and are willing to puy $2.99 for it - fine. It doesn't affect me. I'm not alone in my opinions that this isn't in the best taste, but obviously you know the market. Let's leave it there.
Actually, maybe your right about the MJ fans. They seem to be a crazy bunch. A sane person would probably avoid this. :P I would say its interesting this comes out when a few well know people drop down dead. It seems someone got a slightly ill informed idea one day and ran with it.
Is it tasteless to lay flowers on a departed loved one's grave? Is it tasteless to carry the picture prayer card from a dead relative's funeral? Many MJ fans have requested this app - so are they tasteless too? This is a well intentioned app and alot of people will find it to be comforting.
I believe that you possibly did this with good intention. But you know, some of the worse ideas ever were done with good intentions. I was possibly a bit harsh to imply you were cashing on death though. But I'm sure a lot of people are going to see it like that.
I disagree that this is the same as going to cemetery and paying your respects. There's some things in life gadgets should'nt replace and I'll have to disagree with you that this isn't such a thing.
To the ker-ching on dead celebs. You should look into how long it takes to develop an app and get it approved by Apple. The fact that this hit the iPhone when celebs started dropping like flys is pure luck. This had to be an idea long before this stuff started for it to hit the web now.
I can concede to its creation. However, pepperman911 said they this app was released partly due to the response it got to MJ fans after Jackon's death, which was not that long ago. And you don't have to go further than his profile to see some recently deceased profiles he's used as demonstrations. :P
I never said that! NEVER! What I said was that MJ fans contacted us requesting the app before it was even approved by Apple. I also said that in response to these fans, we would send anyone who requested it - a jpeg of the memorial I created for Michael Jackson. If MJ were alive, he'd tell you the same thing. I could care less about over-indulged celebrities. This app was created for true departed loved ones. The app took 2 months to create and was added to ITunes before these celebrity deaths.

This is an extremely morbid application and you honestly must be out of your mind to think this is a good idea.
Create something else. This is tasteless.
"Litte piece of heaven". More like "MJ and some other famous faces dropped down. Time to cash in. Ker-ching."
