So I understand how easily it is to OPEN the truck, but how the heck are thieves stealing these trucks so quickly when they have the factory PATS system, which supposedly requires a factory key to allow the truck to start?
What kind of retarded "security" camera is THAT?! Gees!! That like ... 1.0 megapixels?! Frickin WORTHless!! It's like it's just there so you know, "ohp.. yep.. somebody stole it. It DIDN'T just drive itself away like we THOUGHT!!"
@KGJr2002 They are very effective in preventing the thief from prying in under the door handle or punching the lock into the door. They are made of steel thicker than the door metal and come with a circular clamp to surround the lock holder and strengthen that assembly. We know of many instances where the jimmi jammers prevented a thief from gaining access to the vehicle. thanks for looking!
my friend's dad had a badass f350 v10 front end back end headache rack tons of upgrades it was his dream truck. right before two christmas' ago his truck was stolen with about $2-3 grand of christmas presents in it. never found it. which is exactly why if you walk within 3 feet of my car you get 156dB of trainhorn. =)
onboard air, 3 gal tank, 150psi compressor. i keep a switch under the dash to turn it on and off with the alarm. its usually only on in sketchy places. my 1mi+ range on the remote and 10 sirens should do the trick in any normal situation
Yes, it was about a 2000 or so Ford Super Duty F350. I'm planning to use this video in a link from our company site that promotes our anti theft device that prevents thieves from prying into the door handles. Most trucks are vulnerable to this. As far as I know to date, our customer didn't get that truck back, he had our product on the one that they didn't steal, now he has it on all his trucks. Watch out for the bad guys.
Them Ford F250/F350 are also very commen theft targets in Canada. A guy i know used to have an 2003 F250, but it was stolen in August last year. He got a new one with more security now.
No, it was one of my customers from his fleet of 6. The first one they tried had the jimmi jammer plate in the door so they couldn't get in. The second one didn't..thanks for checking it out.
