How does it feel to be accused of lying? My innocence is the truth. If you saw ISS in person through the eyepiece as I have you'd be forced to reach the same conclusion. And no, an eyepiece cannot be connected to a video channel; it's just a glass lens to magnify and focus the telescope's light for your eye. My images are shaky because the scope's motors vibrate while tracking at close to the max slew rate to keep up with ISS. Cameras are more susceptible to motion blurring than the eye.

"Counting pixels" on two calibrated photographs is a repeatable, accurate way to measure the exact position of a planet or star by comparing it to the surrounding stars. It's not an optical illusion just because you lack the ability to understand it, but I guess when all else fails blame it on "conspiracy math."

You have a baseline, you have a measureable, repeatable difference in the angle of the planet (a good scope can get you a measurement with arcsecond accuracy, ie .00028 degrees), therefore you can solve the triangle, and no, a triangle doesn't cease to be a triangle just because one side is far longer than the other.

i just realized that astronomical parallax calculation is a fraud, there is no differences perceptible (angles) between stars from different places of the earth, even between the moon and jupiter, so these distances are unknown, and the data commonly used are only conventions

Robert, even the distance to Mars can be measured by parallax if two observers have good telescopes. You can also use solar transits of Mercury and Venus (with proper solar filters) to get the parallax of those planets. Doing this has revealed that the orbital period squared of a planet is proportional to the semi-major axis of its orbit cubed, allowing us to measure all planetary distances. Stars can be measured with very large telescopes using the orbit of the earth as a baseline.

Awesome footage and nice work! I never realized it was possible to get that clear an image of the ISS through an earth telescope. I have to say I'm a bit shocked that some people are so cynical/skeptical as to refuse to believe that one can see the rings of Saturn through a home telescope.

It's quite possible, I assure you. Even a cheap 60mm refractor will show the rings of Saturn if you know where to look. Saturn's apparent diameter is 20 arcseconds right now. Considering that my telescope has a theoretical limiting resolution of .56 arcseconds (Alpha=120/D where D is 214mm), my telescope is more than capable of resolving the rings.

Just a couple weeks ago I showed some of my ISS pictures to a guy who believes all manned spaceflight is a hoax. He basically called me a liar and said I was faking the pictures.  I wonder if I were to show it to him in person through the eyepiece if his head would explode lol.

probably a steady hand and some loose adjusting mechanisms on the telescope so it can be realigned smoothly, without jerking the telescope around

Actually it was tracked using special software on a laptop and the telescope's drive system. That gets it close, but the orbit is always changing and the magnification is insanely high, so from there I make manual corrections using a joystick hooked up to the laptop.
