Actually no. Something like alcohol is toxic because you can overdose on it. You can't OD on marijuana, so you are very wrong. You should check out Dr. Tashkins research on marijuana and cigarettes. No one is saying it's perfectly safe, but it's much safer then alcohol or nicotine.

it goes deeper than just wiping out meth or ice or crack or mdma distributors and manufacturers. Santa Clara, Alameda, and SF counties have been after the meth and other harder drug rings since the mid-60's, when MCs such as the Mongols, the Gypsy Jokers and the Red and White were named implicit providers of the drug; some of them did indeed "walk the dog" and make fortunes, but far less than you would think.

Let's not forget one of the major underlying reasons concerning the "war on drugs": America is known the world over for its capitalism, distribution is a business, and the federal infrastructure wants its percentage. Sure, there are many drugs that do hideous things to you. Meth took my teeth and almost my mind; 10 years later, I'm still here.
