Why there are so many people saying that "La Follia" was composed by A. Corelli? A "Follia" is a dance as a giga, corrente, sarabanda..., with some ostinate bass, like "Bergamasca", "Passacaglia", "Romanesca" or "Ciacona".
Passacaglia and Ciaccona -it's a genre, but Follia, Bergamasca, Romanesca, Monica etc - they are themes. (I saw the book with all these melodies for the bass-ostinato variations!)
The composer of THIS piece is Antonio Vivaldi. Arcangelo Corelli is the composer of another La Follia. But the main Theme of La Follia was written neither by Vivaldi nor by Corelli ))
I'm not very fond of this interpretation. The slow sections are too fast and the fast sections are too slow. I also felt that it lacked a bit of passion.
Thank you for your comment. It was constructive critics. We currently work about our interpretations and and hope that next time you'll enjoy us. Also, are you the member of the Purcell Quartet?
Heh, I wish I was! They are definetly one of the best baroque ensembles out there. Also, don't get me wrong I did enjoy the performance. I just would have interpreted it differently. I look forward to more videos!

Vivaldi, suena bello en cualquier instrumento esa es su gracia: violines, trompetas, oboe, violas, etc, él brillará siempre...siempre
