Loved this series, and the Uist one even more - such heavenly places, made all the more perfect with a gorgeous dog like Reuben!...you're not so bad either, Monty! Come on BBC, time for another series, or at the very least, re-runs of the others.

I love this show. It brings great memories of a movie I once saw called Ring of Bright Water, where a guy moves to Scotland to find a habitat for his pet otter. I envy Monty getting a chance to live in this beautiful part of the world.

oooh I love Monty Halls! here in Finland they are showing this Monty Halls' Great Escape and we have now seen two first eps. And I just CAN'T wait for another!

I just love this program. Monty Halls is a real comedian and he is so funny :D I don't know does he even know how funny he is :D I always laugh my face off. And Ruebs is such an adorable doggie<3

I have always wanted to live in Scottish (or Irish) highlands, and in that kind of cottage!:)

i was up at beachcomber cottage last week. Great place and no one has nicked the lamp shades yet if u visit u must go via the applecross pass ( hairy drive ) i would luv to live in applecross the west coast of scotland is a fantastic place

I have seen the bbc programme en then i bought Monty's book about The Great Escape. The book is also great with some nice humor from Monty.

i've never enjoyed a programme so much, what a life! going to the highlands next year and must visit applecross...... please monty can you do another series, longer next time to cover a scottish highlands winter.... real crofting....

A brilliant show and insight to the North West of Scotland. Just a bloody big shame all the people there and on the programme were from Southern England!, Where were the true Scots on the show???? A real shame ... a real shame. No wonder the Scots hate the english!

I watched the first episode of this show last night. It was fantastic. Well done to Monty for making such a great show-pure escapism. I have to agree though that Ruben is the real star of the show and is a great advertisement for rescue dogs everywhere. Can't wait for the other episodes.
