well this one is kind'a wrong. You just Skate backwards until he's in the reach for body check or hit! The goalie or other players will get the puck when you disable the forward. The puck by itself can't score.
NHL defensive never stick check, right? They ALWAYS lay people out...
For anyone that's actually trying to learn something, I always like to keep my elbow tucked in at my side while I'm skating backwards, defending. It gives the puck carrier a sense that he has more room. So when I reach out to poke the puck away, he's in a little closer. If you skate with the arm fully extended the entire time, then your opponent knows exactly how much room he has to work with.
lmao!, this wont work in highschool, the guys stick handle and dangle, the real way to poke check in highschool is to lay 'em out when they try a move on you
man youve got some skill . i cant remember the last time i have poke checked a stick leaning against the boards .. and if your any good at hokcey .. in higher levels people actually stick handle .. yah thats right .. so this shit wont work
hmm notice that nobody is holding the stick when he is teaching this stupid poke check.. maybe no one else wanted to be involved in this lame ass shit.
this guys good, do you wona tell me a better way to get the puck from the puck carrier? cus in my opinion you poke check once.. twice and the third time wup em in the ass with a badman check.
so wait...i cant go after the puck unless my defense pokechecks it and its a free puck? damn i wish i woulda known that earlier or i wouldnt check people to get the puck off of them myself...what was i thinking
who watches this crap? The guy doesnt even know what he's talking about and he has a wooden hockey stick. He should stick to being a goalie at his size
I'm a goalie and a big guy (6'3 in my skates and 260 lbs w/o gear). Its a lot harder than it looks, goalies have to be some of the best technical skaters on the team and have the best conditioned legs on the team. Those two things can make or break a goalie.
Obviously you don't know hockey, Goalie is one of the hardest positions in the game, and most goalies are actually tall and thin, a goalie needs to be flexible.
are you the fat guy that perfers rollerhockey over ice hockey fag

forget poke checks...just skip the polite stuff, cross check the puck carrier in the face and teach him (or her) a lesson for carrying the puck.
