Hi, i just wanna know if when you use the composite SD cables instead of the HD cables when recording with the HAVA, you get worse quality? Cos i have a SD TV and i need the best capture card i can for SD TV's. But i need to know whether using the SD cables to record in SD is as good as HD cables for recording SD. I saw that you used the SD cables in ur set up vid, and have u a vid with the SD cables used to record? Link it to me please.
Hey, I live in Australia and I need to know whether or not the Hava will work here as the website seems to suggest that you can only use it with NTSC region code

I just bought a hava I am having problems viewing it and setting up the wires from tv to the ... Also I was wondering if you could show how to record on PS3 using that... Can you make a video or tell me how to do it Please....
@tomx63 so u dont have to plug the ethernet cable into the router? u can just use the little doggle or w/e they call it to use ur homes wireless connection to send ur gameplay to ur computer?
@yohomeygsup yeah, dude. that's correct. the HAVA Titanium unit includes a separate antenna. once the HAVA software isconfigured properly, and it pretty much does this itself during the HAVA software install, you can transmit the video directly to your computer via your LAN. no need to connect to the router via ethernet in that case.
@tomx63 alright, thanks you very much. one because my xbox is too far from my pc to hook up the ethernet. two because im not allowed to buy a laptop =/, so yea thanks again
got it all setup, but the stream from hava playlist thing the player, it goes all fuzzy and dark for about 5-10 seconds, then goes normal, this happens about ever 3 seconds of normal video
That's if you have a Wireless Router. You can connect broadband to the Wireless HD Hava. If you have the two antennas, make sure you have a wireless router, it works better streaming.
I have a wireless router, but I havn't purchased a Hava unit yet. Im just wondering what the difference if any is between your unit the Titanium and the unit with 2 antennas in the back. Then theres the Platinum Hava. Which is the best one? is there a difference in quality between them?
@JTron83 The best one for your router is the Hava Wireless HD. The Titanium, The Platinum and Wireless have all the same quality video capturing. The difference is that the Platinum and Titanium, you need to buy seperate hooks up for it. The Wireless you do not have to buy products. All the plugs are located on the back of the Wireless.
If you want too. You can record HD or Composite video with the Hava. Honestly, I like to record in HD. You need an HD Tv that can support HD recordings.
ok so let's see if i got this right. you hook up the a/v cables with their respective spots on the tv and the hava with the coupler, hook up the ethernet cable to the router and then another to your laptop, and install the program on the comp. on question though-since my home computer is hard wired and it is far away from my 360, can i connect the hava to the router with the wireless thing and just move my laptop closer to the router?
hey nice video, but i got lost when you said hook up the hava to the router.. then hook your lab top to the router? couldnt you just use a cable and hook it up straight to the hava and the lab top?
i didnt know what this thing actually does when i first got it lol. i got mines at circuit city out of business sale for $100 off original price lol . im going to install it asap!
im getting a platnium for 60 pounds so i just needed to no if i could plug it straight in my laptop thanks for the help :) could you do a vi on how to connect and set it up straight to your laptop
Actually it's quite simple. All you have to do is put the ethernet cable in the back of the hava and plug the other end into your laptop ethernet port. If the streaming video doesn't work, you can buy a longer ethernet cable, probably a 60 footer and use it for the hava to plug into the router. Then, use your laptop for the internet and see if your laptop can stream the video.
You can, but you need to go into the Hava Setup Wizard to configure the settings to watch video locally. The best way to use the hava is by doing it in WiFi. If you have a wireless router, everything seems much simpler.
i dont have a router can it still work

Can you plug it directly to a computer? Or do you NEED the Wifi?
wierdboo106 2 years ago
@wierdboo106 - you don't need the wifi and if you don't have a wireless network the Hava wifi is of no use.
plugging directly into a computer would require an ethernet crossover cable. plugging into a router, use a regular ethernet cabe.
