You've outdone yourself this time-- what a totally awesome video! And what a beautiful place to film, coming thru the approaching curve (and going out on a big curve too). You sounded totally excited (and I don't blame you one bit!!) And jeez what a LONG 'ole engine-- who made the "DDA40X"? Thanks for one of your best, man!!
OMG, "Pecos Tx", used to have relatives there and have spent a lot of time there... that used to be (until all the mergers etc) the old Texas & Pacific (and Missouri Pacific) RR; had some great old passenger trains, like the Texas Eagle (TP-MP was called "The Route of the Eagles")!!
O MY GAWD!!!! I am speachless!!!!! 5 Stars!!! Dang!!!! I so freaking wish I could have gotten a shot of that thing in action!!!! I got a cab tour and got to walk all around UP 6936.

It's funny they use such a massive engine to pull 12 cars but I guess when you are the execs you get what ever you want.

Interesting Catch here, but why did the DD40X have a Leslie RS3L instead of the usual Nathan M5?
