Great tutorial.

Im going to try this jailbreak within a few days (ipod touch 2g, mb model) and im aware that that there is a newer resn0w available, but i have questions.

1. Is the instalation process any different for this version?

2. Can you be more specific As to the ips or whatever file need to locate.

3. From jailbreaking, will i lose my song library? If so, can i reupload from itunes and continue to use itunes to get songs? (itunes 10.1)

Hi,i did everything, but when i try to look for the ispw,it doesnt oull up even though ive downloaded it twice.I have itunes downloaded and but the little icon where the file is doesnt show up eiether.Any help? thanks in advance.

hi its me again... at the end after the running pineapple it goes to the boot and then goes back to restore mode... ive tried it about 4 times... any tips or help?

If you are an iPod touch 3G or iPhone 3GS with the new boot rom, when it asked you whether you were or no did you select "yes"? if you did that then maybe try blackra1n for 3.1.2. it works for all devices, but it most likely wont work for the ipod touch 3g and iphone 3gs with the new boot rom. good luck!

if you use this to jailbreak will it delete everything and make you restore your ipod??

It shouldn't delete everything. And you will only need to restore if you mess up on the jailbreak. If your iPod touch 3G and you need to reboot you will need to re-jailbreak everytime you reboot.

Hmm... it's tough to say because blackra1n is by far the easiest to use. But redsn0w has more benefits, like custom boot logos ect.
