This looks beautiful, but the melody can barely be heard over the ambient noise! Is the source of the (fan?) noise in the machine, or is it something else that was operating nearby? Congratulations, from an engineering perspective, but not from an aural one.
@Ttoom The re-circulation mechanism isn't acoustically shielded and thus generates a lot of audible scraping/rattling feedback. The solenoid clicking is comparatively quiet, and hidden by the sound of the balls, but still another source of non melodic noise.
What are you trying to do, blow it up?
