  • Say What you Want Citizen, But we all know in the end. This is so much better than Drilling for Oil. Prepare your selves (13 colony states) the oil that's being dumped in the Gulf is working it's way to the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Wind and solar will NEVER produce the energy density that we need to keep our daily lives going. Mother Earth just doesn't work that way.

  • This is confusing. Shouldn't we fight the windmills because that would make Teddy happy if we did? That's why we were supposed to pass the healthcare bill because it would make Teddy happy. How come we are not concerned with Teddy anymore. I hope they buried him with a bottle of whiskey because he's going to be needing a drink right now!

  • Sunlight is the cleanest alternative energy resource. We can even use a lot of mirrors organizing parabolic-ally to focus sunlight to boil water and drive steam turbines in those offshore facilities. We actually have quite long coastal line, we can build these sailing offshore power facilities every couple miles.

  • Why don't they add Sunlight concentrators with solar cells to get more electricity output and enhance the wind drifts for those wind turbines?

  • worst energy decision ever - one 80 mph hurricane and they are broken - and it will NOT lower costs. This is one of the most scenic shores in the country and they will ruin it.

  • @762lenny NO WAY, It would produce more energy. Plus if it did break it wouldn't cause a Catastrophic Disaster Like the Gulf Of Mexico Is having right now with their oil Drilling. Who's the Idiot that decided on that after knowing the destruction of Hurricanes that hit New Orleans and Galveston Tx.

  • @pinkfld you don't have a clue- those rigs can take 100plus wind no problem - the windmills produce so little energy they barely make a profit -if at all - they are a symbol of Globalist idiocy that anyone living there will regret.

  • At some of these offshore places the wind almost always blows at a high speed.

FUCK THE "VISUAL IMPACT" EXCUSES! This technology is sexy! Period!

  • Wow imagine that! Green energy that doesn't require

    1.) Murder innocent Muslims

2.) Stealing oil from poorer nations.

3.) Shoving hundreds of billions of dollars worth of our resources up the mud chute of a super-national corporation an their rich stock holders.

All you chicken littles in the right wing just keep losing. You are all losers, so that would make sense.

  • @BlameRepublicans Green energy doesn't provide the energy density we need for our daily lives. Go study some real science, loser. They kind that requires real math, and not feelings.

  • @zivjax Because there is not enough of Green energy out there for the entire US nation. The only one that are making the difference are those that are doing it. Business and Corporation have to get more involve than residences. If your such a book worm put what you've learned into action. Too much talk with nothing to show..

  • This is all BS you know...windpower should have been initiated years ago...one guess why it wasn't??? If anyone thinks that windpower will be widespread in the U.S.A anytime in the near and far future you need to understand that we are basically servants to the sand.

  • You can use some of the power to illuminate the towers to mach their background light intensity. They use this technique in warfare to hide tanks on an horizon. Besides only gaywads would dislike the progress so much. People should think of them as Liberty Towers, for energy. How many people complain about boats in the water they can see....I can go on and on complaining about the self centered.

  • Funny that the loudest voice against this project was the late Liberal Lion Jack Kennedy.

  • Thats why they blow it up.

  • Obama,

Other than having to go out and do the repairs. if a fan falls over and the safety switches shut it off, is that the extent of its impact on the environment? In light of the Gulf of Mexico disaster, where the blown oil rig may not be repaired for three months, why would we even consider oil rigs along the East Coast? Unless, of course, we are completely insane. Since the Gulf of Mexico flows up the East Coast, the East Coast will get oiled without having drilled baby drilled.

  • @BertGriffin88 Good point! Who cares if we can see them, they're gonna be preventing a lot worse from happening and if the worst that happens is a little annoyance from them sitting a couple miles off the coast then so be it. It's insane not to utilize these new energy sources because of how they "look"! Insanity!

  • Build a solar power farm in the fucking desert!!!!

  • @DarthSchwartz It is hard to get the solar power from the desert to the eastern seaboard, where a lot of power (people) is needed. But yes solar will work for the west.

  • I have a personal question , i just saw the Associated Press profile page and i would like to ask how did you customize your profile page?..i mean how did you put your name" associated Press on top of your profile page?..i really want to customize my page

  • @cyborggermaine

They make tutorials here on youtube to do just that. You'll need a minimum of Adobe Photoshop though.

  • I dunno, I kinda like this idea.

  • Halliburton???

  • Obama was high when he make this choice for sure.

  • "Offshore"

So who will benefit from this technology?

    "offshore" banks again???

  • @midevalcheese Who will benefit? Al Gore.

  • ¬.¬ Sooooooooo....We're gonna spend money on Some Turbines that are Not Hurricane Proof....Sounds smart.
