He says sacrifice, cancel that vacation, market tanks, he's at Martha's Vineyard with 'hated' millionaires. The Germany speech, the greek columns, the president elect seal, constantly tells you didn't hear what he said or see him say what he said (you're confused, taking it out of context), said he didn't know Rezko well, who ran his campaigns,bundled in Chicago, dissed his gran as racist when she raised him, didn't hear 20 years of sermons, after 3 diff. lies on 3 networks on it, we're racists

@puluc8 I voted against him. "Change" and "hope" were too vague, and I believed he would either fail to deliver the promised change, or it would be change for the worse.

Being There seemed to also connect classism and narcissism. Since Sellers was dressed up and spoke like a wealthy person, people interpreted his simple gardening statements as economic metaphors. They couldn't believe that such a well-groomed *man* could be simple.

And indeed, the upper class seems to have quite a bit of narcissistic beliefs: Racism, sexism, some religions are *better* (especially denominations), etc.

Hmm...maybe I just should use my narcissistic personality to my advantage.

LIke Vankin said, N's are calm in crisis and like to be the center of attention. That certainly fits me. So I should choose jobs like EMT, public speaking, fighting, acting, etc. I get in, I kick tush, I get out.

Also, whenever I learn something, I want to teach it to others. Is teaching a good profession for narcissists? Just seminars like Tony Robbins? Or can they do long term like high school or college?

As a narcissist trying to become "normal", I find this statement very disheartening.

And true, once I realized my N traits and then accepted that I was...average (barf), I became miserable.

Though untreatable, I'll still try to be "less grating". Also, as a cerebral N, I'll have to consciously push myself to diet and exercise better (which will likely switch me into a somatic N...lol).

But "untreatable"? Bummer.

How about this for an idea. Perhaps Obama was elected in America because a significant number of voters fall somewhere on the scale of unhealthy narcissism. Sure they may not be at Obama's level, but they're on there, and Obama fits the bill to be their master. As in, narcissists gravitate towards more powerful narcissists. What do you think?

@DrKleiner People who voted for Obama are no more unhealthy than those who voted for Bush. He played on our opposition to BUSH & CO's wars and torture. Many of us admit we were fooled. We are demanding Obama's impeachment and warning Democrats who refuse to believe their messiah is a fraud that reality is not a football game, Dems v Repubs. Bush/Cheney groupies don't admit they elected psychopaths, twice. They are as evil as Obama. Their actions proved it. Analyze their cult followers.

Whose racehorse is he? Is he an Antichrist figure that will bring intense destruction. The fact he is supporting gay rights, the wars in the middle east, and the promotion of TSA intrusion into the lives of the American citizen all points to a malevolent figure. Psychopathic narcissism though is part of the policitian's character isn't it. Rev. Manning is a black leader in Harlem NY. Listened to the whole interview. Excellent & VERY insightful interview. Not just in learning about Obama, but the detail about the narcissistic personality.
