  • scarface started alot of things.

  • @GazmoSin1960s: Al Pacino's Scarface is a brilliant movie. The way it encompasses a man's greed. Al Pacino plays the role perfect. Any other actor would have under-played the role. Al Pacino understood that at thee bottom of the movie, it's not just a gangster film, its a story about a man who is totally obsessed with power. The brilliant symbology - the world with the Globe and all the ultra gody stuff started a trend.

  • @themiko48 I like it, but I prefer the original a lot more - along with many other gangster films about a powerful man. Pacino was great, but it was still a very over-the-top performance that it became comical. Whatever the film was meant to be, it's still just silly and doesn't come close to other films in the genre.

  • @The1179ji Shut the hell up fanboy. It's clear you're obsessed with Pacino. Saying one is better than another is one thing, but A MILLION times better? Yeah right... Troll somewhere else.

  • oh...shit...

  • After he punched him Nicholson should have said...'Never rub another mans rhubarb'

  • No way in hell De Niro would lose a fight against Nicholson. Nothing against Jack, but this is Robert fucking De Niro we`re talking about... this guy could knock you out by blowing cigarrette smoke to your face

  • IF de niro was sober he would have destroyed nicholson.

  • I would like to see that happpen in goodfellas! ha!

  • Thank you for uploading this brilliant scene!

  • Beautiful wide shots!

  • @spxeli

Yeah, there is, his characters in Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, Raging Bull and King of Comedy are all unstable, mentally or emotionally.

  • @spas16 All of those characters are very different. Yes, they are all pretty unstable characters, but De Niro pulled that off better than anyone else could have. He played them all different. It's like saying Jack Nicholson does his trademark smile in every movie... Who cares! What does that have to do with the character?

  • nobody fucks with R.P MCMURPHY

  • @donnyab oh that's my bad. This is a Nicholson > De Niro argument. It's a pretty weak one. It's not about who can do what, it's about what they've done. Nicholson couldn't pull of a character like Johnny Boy could he? He couldn't get the subtle mannerisms of a Travis Bickle could he? Yeah... Your argument is pretty flawed. There aren't all supposed to be able to do the same things. If that was the case acting would be very simple wouldn't it? btw, yes, De Niro and many others could do that.

  • @spxeli

Why do you think Jack can't be subtle, have you seen the Pledge or About Schmidt. And yes Jack could do a Johnny Boy or maybe even Jake LaMotta in his younger years, why not, it just wont be as compelling as Bob's. And Bob could possible do a Randle McMurphy, but it probably just wont have the charisma, charm and warmth Jack brought to the role which made it such a amazing performance. To say that one is better than the other is difficult because they play such different roles.

  • @spas16 don't assume things and put words into my mouth. The guy deleted his post. He said that Nicholson could play De Niro's part better than De Niro did himself and that De Niro could not pull of anything Nicholson has. I was pointing out to him the same thing you're saying. That the argument's flawed because they've both done what they have better than anyone else could have. Personally? I think they're both top 5 actors of all-time.

  • wow in their prime!

  • "I always wanted to hit 10 million dollars" ROFL

  • Two fucking class actors in one fucking terrible movie

  • dont be scared ho

  • @inkey2 With Goodfellas?.. Compare it with TAXI DRIVER or One of the Best Performances of All time: RAGING BULL!

  • @dafuksup Well, you´re on your own there, pal. But why didn´t you think it was good? Maybe you couldn´t relate to De niro´s character?

  • @DonRMB Don't ova cook the steak. You ova cook it, it's no good. Defeats it's own purpose.

  • @DonRMB are you talking to me...:P

  • Comment removed

  • @inkey2 I dunno if thats true...One of his best movies was Taxi Driver and that came out in '76 also.

  • 1 person wasn't equipped for authority.

  • Deniro -"dont get to meet reds very often, are you a real red?"

Jack -"No but ive been in that film"

  • If I was directing this movie, I would have them dueling banjos.

  • ,remaking but i think this one is full a story.,,,,,,, i can't wait to see it to be honest !

  • i thought they hate eachother ....

  • de niro was so hot back then....

  • Pacino needed to stop by to get some eggs

  • And then.... Robert MItchum peeks in through the window.

  • De Niro was actually supposed to be in "The Departed" playing Martin Sheens role but De Niro was making another film at the same time "The Good Shepard"...Jack Nicholson was of course in the Movie....so they WOULD have been in another movie together...I am pretty sure Marty Scorsese is supposed to be making another gangster like movie similar to "Goodfellas" and Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Bobby De Niro are going to be in it together....would be nice to add Jack and young guys like Leo,Depp,Statham

  • @ThePistons4life Stratham?? are you fucking joking?

  • @MrDikybird yea Statham....he could play a bad ass role...im not saying he's as good as any of those other guys on the list that i named....he's not even my top 10 favorite actors but he is such a bad ass... would be nice to see Marty use him in a Movie

  • @ThePistons4life ,,,,yes the new film is called Hoffa i think its going to be great ,

  • @sherzadsalih JackNicolson already did "Hoffa" about Jimmy Hoffa in 1992...they are remaking it??? wtf

  • @ThePistons4life He was also supposed to "Bill the Butcher" in 'Gangs of Newyork' but didn't want to go through the traveling and everything to play the role. I don't really find it a loss as Daniel Day Lewis is Brilliant and makes an otherwise average movie worthwhile, but I could have seen Deniro in that role if he was really into it.

  • De Niro first got hit by Jack Nicholson, and then got killed by Al Pacino in Heat. damn!

  • Even deniro in his prime can't touch jack in his.As we see here, deniro could have been anybody here,no one would notice.

  • Bobby is better anyway :D

  • So....where is Joe Pesci?

  • this is from the last tycoon (1976)

  • ok this is a good movie but thats not a fight

  • you have to sit for eight minutes to watch a one punch fight, lol

  • De Niro, Nicholson and Pacino should make a final movie together and then just enjoy legend-status

  • they should make a new movie together!

  • after seeing this scene the only duo i want to see in a movie together now is de niro and eastwood.

  • 2 hollywood legends. wow.

  • Nicholeson as joker, De'niro as 2face, Pacino a riddler, and Pesci as penguinne lol

  • @Kronicyumyum who is batman?

  • @Kronicyumyum *MOTHER OF GOD THAT IS PERFECT!!

  • De'niro should have played harvey dent/2face and put him with jack a joker lol

  • i miss this movie De Niro Nicholson ooo yes

  • De Niro and Nicholson playing ping pong? I must be high right now.

  • i wonder if my life was even worth living all this time without knowing there existed this movie with jack nicholson and robert de niro!!!!

  • This is cool, i never knew De Niro and Nicholson had been in a movie together, does anyone know if Nicholson and Pacino has ever been in a movie together?

  • FUCKING LEGENDARY!!!

  • from this scene its quite clear THIS is what the film SHOULD have been about, Nicholson vs De Niro.

  • its hard to decide which one to look at. If you know what I mean.

  • I think the world just exploded after this scene

  • Great cast, shit movie.

  • What does De Niro mean when he asks Nicholson, "Are you a real red" ?

  • @Tusc9969 A Communist. This was before the age of McCarthyism when Communist Party leanings would come back and bite show biz people in the ass big time!

  • @kalimaganeshshivan That's weird... a southern baptist commie? Now I know i've heard everything lol

  • @Tusc9969 Nicholson's character may have been lying about that. That's why De Niro's character questioned him about it because he seemed skeptical.

  • @Tusc9969 it means are you communist

  • Two great actors play together. Well what can i say BUT GIVING THUMBS UP. Anyway, I always wish after with De Niro, Edward Norton can play once with Nicholson. It will be awesome.

  • my 2 favousrite actors

  • The two greatest actors alive. No questions asked.

  • two of the most badass actors in hollywood right here! XD

  • That woman is extremely beautiful, painfully beautiful. For some reason women on television aren't beautiful like they used to be. They may be "hot" because they work out a lot and have a tan and tons of makeup, or they may be "attractive" because they have on great clothes, have almost no body fat it seems, perfect lighting and camera angles, etc., but the beauty is mostly gone, seems like it ended in late 80's, there's just a new breed of women I guess.

  • my two most cherished idols at the same place,i cant belive it!!!!!!!!

  • THIS is why nicholson's the best, his screen presence dwarfs even greats like deniro. The only interesting parts to this dull, forgettable film are all the scenes with nicholson.Says it all

  • what film is this

  • did de niro die

  • The amount of badassery in that room would make me explode.

  • Robert DeNiro is the greatest actor of all time, but Jackie N is still really good.

  • Two of the hottest, most talented actors ever.

  • Theresa Russell

  • Who's the girl? She's pretty.

  • Deniro vs Jack in a ping pong match, freakin surreal.

  • exactly, he's jimmy conway, al capone, jake la motta, max cady, and even the frankenstein monster....nicholson is just the joker who gets beat up by batman... still two GREAT actors

  • lol Jack is the man!

  • @tooxtreme55 You mean Joker, Jack Torrence, Frank Costello, Daryl Van Horne ,Col. Nathan R. Jessep . Dont short change Nicholson dude. Hes pretty badass too.

  • @bigsexy1234567 indeed he's the only actor aside from michael caine who has been nominated for an academy award in five consecutive decades!

  • i love how jack nicholson can be such a jackass. xD specially at 2:17

  • Wow instant cinematic experience !!

  • this scene makes my stomach hurt, good actors.

  • Damn. I had no idea these two titans ever did a movie together.

  • i've been talking about how cool it'd be to see these guys and then suddenly discover that they did this right around Cuckoo and Taxi Driver time.

gotta get 'em together again it'd be so awesome.

  • its...not very good is it?

  • its not even remotely good considering they've got 5 oscars between them...

  • "Well, you know yourself very well, mr. Starr."

Jack owned De Niro everytime in this film...

  • Comment removed

  • jacky made a big mistake.vito corleone will stab him with a knife .

  • I'm sorry, but Corleone is no match for Frank Costello...

  • but hes jimmy convay ......hes a goodfella xD

  • This is fucking awesome, never knew Nicholson and De Niro acted together. Thought that was as cool as the video was gonna get then fucking Robert Mitchum walks into shot! Excellent stuff.

  • I thought the same thing! I was watching it and then.......is that Mitchum?

  • Jack just schools every great actor, here, then brando later that year in ''the missouri breaks''.He's the best

  • YEAHH Jacky beat him up!

  • OK, THAT TURNED ME ON

  • What part?

  • A) Jack's wide open legs at 0:26

    B) Two sexy men drinking tea. (One jewish and the other from Tenessee ROAR!)

    C) The punch on Bobby and...

    D) The golden phrase: "I always wanted to hit ten million dollars"

  • Oh yeah. And...

    E) De Niro open his shirt.

(Just adding to the list. Hope you don't mind.)
