To think MAHQ gave this episode a 3/5 star rating, I personally found it the best episode of the series so far, ya sure it was mobile suit porn in short, but there are so many moments in the episode that were wonderful, and far better than the boring speeches characters like Full Frontal or Marida have in episode2-3. Episode 4 is a "Why we fight" style episode and a beautiful one.
How is Marida's speech any worst? She was giving the perspective of the Zeon remnant. 3/5 was a fair score. These scenes were all from the novels to begin with, so the writing team for the episode can't really take credits.They did a pretty bad job in organizing episode 4 moving around from Dakar to Torrington for no good reason, wasting precious air time. If it weren't for this scene and the desert scene this episode would have been a complete failure.
@flamingtroll Marida on her death bed style speech with all the pains/grunts when trying to give Banagher a lecture, yes wonderful speech, I face palmed on that one scene on Episode 3. Plus badly organized? I enjoyed that episode from start to finish, more than I could say about episode 2/3, it felt like Episode 1 all over again, which was a good thing. Jumping around location wise was fine, I didn't get lost, the only part that bugged me at all was the time laps.

@Robant100 MAHQ? Mecha Anime Head Quarters. It's a website which reviewed everything Gundam known to man and just about every anime that has mecha pretty much, has a HUGE picture/data/biography for just about every mecha in those animes as well. I say largest catalog of mecha in english on the web. hehe
@Luminahawke ahhh i see, anyways, i found Marida's speech to be essential for Banagher to understand and grow stronger in moral, in the end everything that happened is essential towards the end.
