  • Nice! shes a looker too.

  • Donkeys enjoy line dancing and have won the Animal Line Dancer (ALD) award the past 2 years! Savannah competed for a while but then got involved with ballet, now she is pregnant and due New Year's Day. These jennets! go figure!

  • Is that a line dance?

  • Hey, Im from Canada too!Wow, really great groundwork! I have a donkey. her name is Jenna. Donkeys are such fast learners. It didn't take me long to teach her to walk, trot even canter with me on her back and learn stop, turn. Im only 110 pounds so she doesn't mind carring me. My donkey doesn't back up though or sidepass like that in hand. Really well trained donkey. More people should ride donkeys, there so cute!

  • @thatperson195 I am not from Canada but have many friends there and visit once a summer for a few weeks. Please join our Yahoo group, Donkey Aficionados

a great group with lots of donk talk on training, health and all things donk.

  • Hello from Canada!! love this video!!! Awsome !!!

  • Upper Turtle Creek, outside Kerrville, about an hour nw of San Antonio

  • I am in Texas , Where is your ranch?

  • I love your videos

  • ground work is the key, donks lean into steady pressure and move away from intermittent pressure, so on the ground you poke where your heel would be to move over, front and back, then you just get to be waving them over. I use my finger as a target and I have one with me all the time, see me using my finger on the backing? get a strap made longer for your browband, simple fix and cheaper than a custom bridle. You can do any of this!

  • Oh my! This one is getting shared with my trainer. She is doing wonderfully with our boy right now; but she may just be as surprised as I was at what is possible. Side passing and backing, even without touching. AMAZING! Thanks once again for sharing and in the process showing folks what is possible!!!

What type of bridle are you finding fits? We're having a lot of trouble with the brow bands being too tight, given the BIG head on our boy. Do they make one with an adjustable brow band?

  • Well, I believe in this video Savannah has a hackamore on, I have been going back and forth with the hackamore and the big snaffle bit. Not sure what they like the best yet. Hard to get the hackamore on a donk just right too. I like to use my legs and voice and bit as little as possible, if the ground work is done with no holes, you hardly need a bit at all.

  • I love your videos! So inspiring! What type of bridle/bit do you use on your donks?
