u moron if u kept all of those 32 clown loaches or as i saw u now have 81 the 32 clown loaches alone would at least need 384 gallons but if you have 81 now u would need 972 gallons alone for the clown loaches but don't forget your other fish u would need like 1,500 gallons to make your fish happy!!!!!!! CLOWN LOACHES GET 12 INCHES LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I have a 72 gallon bow front tank and have about seven clown loaches in it already, how many more do you think I could get. These fish are so fascinating.
Not a whole lot more. Clowns grow to be really big, and need a lot of space when they do get bigger. Places to hide is another factor, more fish require more caves and other places to hide.
These are beautiful fish but i agree that this is overstocking and in addition i don't see any hiding places, or caves - which this species would appreciate.
Overstocking my arse! thats the trouble when know it alls are allowed to comment. The fish look extremely happy and in excellent condition. Stocking levels will always depend upon the type of filtration and the amount of water changes done on the tank. Since you dont have any of that information to hand you cannot possibly say that its overstocked. I note you dont have any fish videos on here
yes, you could mix them. They prefer to be in schools, the larger the better. It's recommended that clown loaches be in a school of at least 6. You'd might find them to be a lot more active as you add to their school size. Just be careful of ich outbreaks. You could lose the entire school from ich.
when i added two new clowns to mine a last week the two new ones got ich but the existing ones are okay? how should i treat this? will it spread to the other fish and what do u reccomend i should do with the two which have ich?
no one has ever shown proof of loaches breeding in captivity....i have seen a few pictures of clown loach fry but that was from a hormone farm overseas where they force-breed them
That's great man. I really like the big ones, I know they grow pretty slow so I admire your patience. Have you been able to breed them in an aquarium? As far as I know, nobody has. But good luck
how do i get my clown loach to grow larger i feed my 6, muscles ,blood worm, cucumber, tubifex worms, pellets.there 2 years old,300 litre tank, eheim 2217 external filter.79 temp.
generally, clown loaches grow very slow. of the 20+ 3" sizes that i bought, there are a few that grew at a tremendous rate, exceeding 6" total length in less than a year. just keep feeding them well, do weekly water changes and provide them a comfortable home.
have you had them all since they were small? how big is the biggest one? can see the bigger ones have the white stripe though the black that the really big loach get.
how many clown loaches do you think would be appropriate for a 4ft 50 gallon tank???

I removed the plants a few weeks after this video was shot. Some of the cichlids I had was nibbling on them.
