I bought my first Saab when I was 18 for 500.00, an old 1981 Notchback turbo, and I loved it. I have bought other cars like C class and Audi, even a BMW 5 recently, but I went back to Saab because it is (just like some peope have put it) a car for people with color between the lines. When the X Turbo came out I was lucky to get one here in Canada and sold my C Class. I will say, the X Turbo is a much better car dollar for dollar, it makes you wanna drive even when you're stuck on a traffic jam

My favorite Saab to date is still the 9-5 Aero. FWD is king with Saabs and the Turbo X's XWD is just putting more weight and no more control. The Turbo X interior is pure crap and the price kills the whole experience.

Saab is a car you have to drive. BMW's, Audi & Merc are cars that do all the driving for you. Mind you my stepdad is on his 7th Saab, he used to race them and he always prefered them over BMW's. I prefer the real old Saab 900 turbo that my dad (stepdad) used to have.

I have E46 M3 and I don't know what people are talking about, I think the M3 is overhyped. It was always my dream car until I got it. Yes it's fun to drive with DSC off, but I still would take my old 04 Saab 9-3 Aero. I regret trading Saab for M3 and is looking to trade in for a 07 or newer Aero.

I had a 1998 9-5 Griffin Sedan and traded it for a 2004 BMW 5 series, was too boring and conventional for my liking! yeah I hated the long gear shift, high clutch, stupid b pillar blindspot, shitty audio, uncomfortable headrest and huge bodyroll, and not as good as audi all-wheel drive. But I swear, after my initial resentment subsided, added subwoofers and chipping the car, this is the best car I've ever had. The exhaust is amazing, better then the 335, s5, c-class etc.
@Cuotemoc I'm a saab guy too but I know what you mean. They're both high end cars but I prefer saabs to BMW's just because they're familiar to me. They both have ins and outs. Especially saab in the 9-3's around 03,04, era.
I love my '08 Aero, lighter than the TurboX, hardly any noticeable torque-steer, and lots of power and grip! The interior is actually very nice, and the seats are awesome! It looks like SAAB is about to be bought from GM. And the sleek all new 9-5 Turbo is about to make its debut. Things are looking up for SAAB.

i was at the dealer and there was a lady there and she said that her old 9-3 never had any problems other than normal maintaining. it was like 15 years old... and this ones 3 years old and already had this fixed:
theyre good cars, i cut the resinator out so it has a morepurring sound, i also made a cold airintake, its a great car, and its a big head turner just because noone has them around and the rims, body lips and everything stands out. but for the expensive and nice looking car it has too many problems.
-ones in a while, it doesnt wana start and i have to jump start it, and lock the car and unlock it and it starts and runs fine, also ones in a while everything malfunctions on the info screen

Thats rubbish. Saabs are litteraly impossible to crash. Ive had near death 95 mile an hour loss of controll with my 95 and indeed it is litteraly impossible to crash.
Saabs enginers is one of the worlds greatest (They invented the turbo for example). It´s a great car with quality and design (wait and see the new saab 95 (comes in fall -09). MSN can´t make reviews on cars, really lame.

I drove this in auto and a 3-Series with xDrive an an auto.
The BMW has better steering feel, but otherwise this is as good to drive.
I'd take the uniqueness of this all day.

the 335 have been plagued by quality issues...just check the forums. overheating, rattles all over, faulty convertible roof...list goes on.

umm well citreon introduced the first front wheel drive,the first hydronumatic suspension,first sluminium frame,first disc brakes,first plastic dash,first moving head lights,first c02 sensor to adapt airconditioning,first front crumple zone,first knee airbags, first concave rear window for bigger boot opening .....

saab was the first company to design a turbo with a waste gate. they were the first to put headrests on the seats, first to put standard heated front seats (1971) among other things...

You are right but saab did bring the wastegate to automotive turbo charging.....Why do you dislike saabs so much? btw I dont approve of GM fully owning SAAB either but maybe things will change soon.

Ok, well this is done by Citreon, Take a look at a 15 year old citreon and show me something that works the same as it did when it was built? What Ive heard is that they are stuffed by the time you come out of the factory! I like cars that fall apart anyway! Im thinking about a C4.

@Frenklin112 If I'm not mistaken, SAAB is in uppercase on their website. As well as being in uppercase on the steering wheel of the new 9-5. While there is some debate on how it should be typed in print, I prefer the look of SAAB in all caps. It stands out more. ;-)
