There is another Mortal Kombat rumored to be in production.

There have been plans for a 3rd Mortal Kombat movie shortly after the second one came out. It has been in Development Hell for years.

Devastation was supposed to be a sequel to Annihilation but now they are saying it might be a complete Reboot and will simply be titled Mortal Kombat. It was announced that Oren Uziel is writing the script and that Linden Ashby, Robin Shou, Chris Casamassa, and Christopher Lambert will come back.

I think the only way you can do mortal kombat justice is to make it an animated film (ex: just look how nice some of the cinematics for the games have been) Cause if we learned anything from the second live action movie is that creatures from their universe have a tendancy to look horrible and cheesy as practical characters even the CGI ones looked bad too but animation technology has advanced so much since then, and I would love the new film to be a relaunch of the whole movie franchise.

TEASERS ARE NEVER F*CKIN REAL! even teasers are thrown in dvd's. they show obscure clips, that dont even show up in the movie.
