  • I'm all about freedom of speech and all....but how can you review something that you obviously watched while you were like ...sleeping. Think you missed some maaaaaaajor plot points here. Think you also missed the point of it being a -new- perspective here....Like i get your bitching about the comics but....again...it's a new look on it, and i thought it was a VERY well done film. ......Unless your trying to be funny? Cause then...you kinda.....fail.........

  • Batman and Robin was more entertaining than this tough guy rant, did you just find George Carlin's book of words not to say

  • Seriously, buy yourself an open mind instead of proliferate shit without knowing their meanings.

  • You have every right to talk however you want about this movie. I won't hold any of your opinions against you.

  • I see this movie thousand times when I was kid and I don't remember one single time I scared.

  • Batman Returns was awesome. Burton's world of Batman is the best. Some things you say in here, make me believe you didn't understand the plot at all.

  • .... I gave up on watching your review when you told the movie wants to make us sympathize with the Penguin's parents. Of course it's not trying to. All it does is to show that this is what is parents did... moron.

Yes, Batman Returns is my favorite live action Batman flick. But I tried to watch this review with an opened mind. But you're whining in a irrational manner here - so I can not watch it. You're acting like haters of the Star Wars prequels... and that's pretty bad.

  • you are the funnyist reviewer iv ever seen XD masacistic baby cage your a legend

  • Wow. You have failed to understand the film. Penguin's desire to find his real parents is a cover-up for his rise to power. He wants access to the records of the city so he can find the name's of the first borns of Gotham to...what?...murder them! It's twisted as hell.

  • God, you were a pussy as a kid. I was around the same age when I first saw Batman Returns in the theaters and I wasn't disturbed by it, because I was reassured by the presence of Batman in the film, who wore a costume and fought crime.

  • fuck u

  • You're an idiot. Fuck this review and fuck you.

  • Maybe they were radioactive cats, like when Spiderman got bit by a radioactive spider?

  • @katten838 Best explanation I've heard so far.

  • To me, this is the best pre-Nolan Batman movie. Even better than 1989 Batman.

  • hey Internetclub91, FUCK YOU, YOU BITCH PUSSY COCK SUCKER SON OF A FUCK CUNT CUM BACK.

  • "Some appendage!"

Oh Christ, not another dick Joke. What's with Tim Burton's Batman and dick jokes?

In case you're wondering, I refer to the "you're going to need a long lense" crack in the first flick.

Although Schumacher had Poison Ivy saying "hit my honeypot" and "I'll help you grab your rocks."

With the honeypot thing, that's not even innuendo. It's not even thinly veiled.

  • wow, you made a terrible review.

  • Batman and Batman Returns were my favorite and even as a child, everyone says Returns disgusts them but as kid I didn't care....I think somethings wrong with me :P

  • Burton's world suits the Batman persona to me, Bale just kills what I grew up with.

  • Lol... I love this movie but your review was really good and quite funny....

I admit I never read a Batman comic so maybe that's why I never cared and thought it was the best one. I always saw it as some dark comedy. It never seemed to take itself seriously... so that's why I loved it... it was dark, twisted, funny... nothing like a batman comic from what I've found out so I can see why Batman fans do not like it.

Good review though, it was pretty funny...

  • awsome i love this movie, it is so kickass i saw it when i was 5, but then again i am kind of fucked up like that.

  • well i think this movie was wonderful, except that the penguin scare my balls off whenever i see him

  • @Hubastanka Thanks! and yes, its not the best.

  • @Hubastanka I was confused about The Penguin too. I don't know if you had the Filmation VHS release out at the time (the only Filmation Batman VHS release I think) but The Penguin was in one of the cartoons. And between that, Burgess Meredith, and the comics my parents used to buy me since I was 5, (how cool is that?) I was pretty familiar with the character. Also, I saw this opening day, which also happened to be my 8th birthday.

  • I thought movie Penguin's goal was just revenge and schedenfruede. All that "nobility" was just faked. The parents had the right idea of throwing him in the river...even if that caused him to become insane.

So are you going to review the Catwoman movie with Hallie Berrie...I heard that it was written for this Catwoman for after this movie.

  • I think you may have missed a beat with the Penguin there...as in the "parents" story is a cover for what he really wants to do before being sidetracked by the whole Mayor thing. Also if you researched the film makers intentions you would realise that they were not trying to adapt straight from the comic books but rather allowing Burton to explore the ideas of the characters in order to make his own film (it's the reason he agreed to come back...) and the cats are metaphorical, not mutant

  • Why is everybody so upset because Penguin is different.

What about Ledger's Joker? His nothing like the original Joker either.

  • @Teetseremoonia Well, I think Diveto's Penguin is amazing, a true original monster come to life, I say so in the review, I just think the character is written horribly.

  • @Teetseremoonia Yes, he is. He was homicidal, theatrical, obsessed with Batman, an agent of chaos and anarachy, left Joker cards at his crime scenes, etc.

He was a better Joker than Nicholson.

  • @SuperHorrormovies Why are you so mean? I bet you know shit about Batman Returns.
