  • both vids are based on the same movie.

  • Foo's director watched it and thought "I can do better" and "I have millions and millions of dollars to make it better". 10 points awarded to Foo's for song and video execution, 0 points awarded for originality of parody choice, -2 points for copying moments of MPC video that were not in the movie Falling Down. 1 point awarded to MPC for their videos impact on the mainstream, -2 points for stealing this idea from the Foo's 5 years before Foo's made it, -9 points for not giving a shit.

  • Well looks like Dave Grohl watched MPCs video and thought "i can do this better" because the song and the video of MPC is shit and FF did a great job in the sng and in the video

  • i've only heard bits of this MPC song and they're shit, what does it stand for? Must Play Crap? it must do as that suits it so well after listening to that shit, Foo Fighters are awesome, MPC is not end of story

  • Does anyone even know that Walk is a parody of MPC and Dave Grohl paid MPC to do it

  • This MPC just sound terrible to me lol im glad im only heraing pieces of the song. I came here from a Foo Fighters video lol

  • anyone knows the term parody?

  • MPC clearly think this is hilarious. WH Smith vouchers??? Come on people! Sarcasm...

  • walk is a parody of a movie think its called fallen or something like that maby somebody else had this idea before..

  • you do realise that both these music videos are parodys of the 1993 film falling down????????

  • Actually the videos are based on the movie "falling down"

  • Why would Dave owe the money? He didn't write, direct, produce or film the video, he just acted in it.

  • They both used cameras, so obviously it's stolen.

  • It`s NOT STOLEN!!!! It´s from the Movie "Falling Down"!!!!

  • your fucking retarded they both came from the movie failing down they should execute people like you for coming up with these stupid ideas

  • I agree with rjschofield, stupid people are stupid. Foo clearly stated who they were parodying with the video, they openly stated it wasn't an original concept, it's a fun take on Falling Down.

  • It's not "stolen" if the source music is completely different and all of the scenes are reshot with different props, actors, etc.....

  • MPC sucks... And it's a parody of another movie either way.

    I hate stupid people.

  • Ur Fucking dumb. And a stupid band called MPC would never fucking ever gain the popularity the foo fighters had even 10 years ago

  • The idea hasn't been "stolen", they're both a parody of a Michael Douglas film :/

  • Both parodies of "Falling Down" geniuses.

  • Clearly you don't have your facts straight. Both are taken from a Michael Douglas film called 'Falling Down' that came out in 1993. You should watch it. It's a brilliant film!!

  • It's a parody of "falling down".

  • well they are both inspired from the movie falling down check out the kube falling down that is a good song as well

  • well they are both ins

pired from the movie falling down check out the kube falling down that is a good song as well

  • Foo Fighters have said that their video is based on this one. I believe he even said "homage"...

  • Foo Fighters have said that their video is based on this one.

  • "I mean sure, the Foo Fighters are now enjoying the International mega-stardom that - by rights - history had reserved for the mighty MPC (had their skill with a well delivered parody been properly recognized in their own time.)"

actually the Foo Fighters were already big before this, you fucking dumbass. so even if they did rip off MPC they didnt gain much by doing it. they just would have made a different music video and theyd still be just as big.

  • Only Dave Grohl can pull off that outfit!

  • If anything MPC own me $17 Million for making my ears bleed the only soothing thing was the Foo Fighters in between

  • Foo fighters are way better plus these two are different categories one is mental or hard rock and foo fighters is either soft rock or rock

  • You must be stupid if you think that happened "by coincidence"... that's plarigarism at its worst!

However.. the Foo Fighter song rocks :)

  • Lucas6414 is right, they both just parody the movie Falling Down.

  • Both based themselves on Falling Down, no copy of the Foos.

  • i think that it is just a coincidence but if it is not foo fighters clip is better

  • *Dave Grohl

  • You are a fucking idiot why would dace grohl owe MPC 17 million whatever the fuck currency you have just because two scenes are similar? Oh yeah I hope you know there's currency with both pounds and dollars you fucking idiot

  • They're both from the movie falling down. Get ur facts right

  • Motherfucker! The 'bizarre' clip was widely influenced by 1993 film 'Falling Down', especially on Michael Douglas' disgruntled businessman character. Awesome song and awesome video!

  • They're both parodying a movie you buffoons! There's no stealing taking place.

  • Striped Shirt Guy?

  • it's not stolen as stolen would be foo fighters copying every little detail of it, the two videos are similar to each other but foo fighters did not steal anything and also not every video is original these days people have to take something from someone else yes but they manipulate it to make it their own and better, and the foo fighters one is 10 times better

  • Foo Fighters video is better and love the film falling down

  • what you show in 2006 is too a fake the real film is falling down in the year 1970

  • actually its all from the movie falling down with michael douglas its not stealing anything

  • they are both a parody of the movie FALLING DOWN. they both stole it or no one did..

  • £17 million dollars? What's that pound dollars???

  • @IrarebreedI friggin hilarious.

  • definitely stole the video

  • Thumbs up if you think the Foo fighters version kicks the shit out of the mpc one!!!

  • maybe this was the fan directed video (the "this video sucks" contest) and the fan director ripped off MPC.

  • BIG - for the foo fighters. To earn Money with ideas of other people is criminal!

  • never heard of other band and foo fighters video is far beter!!

  • yeah, walk it's fucking stolen, but not from some unknown fucking shitty band, its from micael douglas fucking movie man, this video post is bullshit

  • VERY similar, but nothing more than that. The Foo Fighters are one of the greatest rock bands ever, they do not need to rob from MPC...Lol.

  • the foo fighters based it of a michale douglas movie so mabey both are based of it.

  • fuck that^^

  • I don't know what your talking about. The Foo Fighters were famous way before walk

  • Guitar riffs stolen too? Listen to this song from 2007.... search "International Truck & Engine - The History Video" on youtube or watch?v=ZJQFr4e7ap4

  • They both based their videos off the movie Falling Down. Neither one of them copied each other, and the Human song is not that good honestly.

  • Have you think they maybe made that video as a parody of Falling Down or as a parody of Multi-Purpose Chemical's Human?

Why does everybody says "this band stole this riff/video/song from this other band" when there is something that sounds or looks the same? ._.

  • Foo´s work with this idea clearly worked out to be a better video than MPC's.

    Peace with that.

  • Foo´s work with this idea clearly worked out to be a better video than MPC.

    Peace with that.

  • You're an idiot. The entire Wasting Light CD was made to go back to the Foo Fighters' roots, they made it in Grohl's garage. So, it makes sense that this new music video would be joking much like earlier videos by them. I doubt Grohl would steal the ideas of another band: this happens in the media constantly and to think that it was intentionally stolen would be stupid. And I doubt MPC will receive any compensation from Grohl.

  • idiot. Cut off the end of the video and it's actually well made, hadn't heard of MPC but I like em, really fuckin good. Love Foo Fighters though, all they did was take someone else's rendition and make it better, a lot better. MPC should feel good that something they created sparked creativity in another band, that is why music videos are made ya know?

  • MPC were always sick live. Coming from someone who likes and has seen both bands, I had a better time at an MPC gig than a Foo Fighters show.

  • The video is based on a movie dude no one ownes nothing to each other

  • Everyone involved owes Michael Douglas money ;)

  • is this not typical foo fighters sort of stuff though? I mean a lot of their videos pokes fun at the music industry, so maybe that's where this came from. Either way i love them to bits, my favorite band ever.

  • it is kinda weird but the foos still rock i love this song!!!

  • Um whatever that is on the left is garbage and should not be in the same sentence as foo fighters.

  • No one gives a shit about MPC and most people watching this video hasn't heard of them ever before or will ever care about them ever again. Foo Fighters kick ass!

  • @MAGICJACKCALLS no shit shirlock! Strangely enough, there are quite a few bands that are less famous than Foo Fighters. Weird init?

  • you make a pig from a fly. man, come on ! who cares ? the songs sounds good so get hobbies and let the bands alone. omg,

  • Love the Foo's, one of my favorite bands, mostly because their videos are so funny. Not a big fan of MPC's music but this seems to be more than a coincidence. I guess the Foo's decided to improve upon the idea.

  • MPC. Who has ever heard of them. Those who have are like me, sorry that they had heard of them. Absolute rubbish. Foo fighters rock.

  • @lineinthesand100 so they suck because you haven't heard of them? *biggest flaw in the modern music industry* Of course Foo Fighters rock. If you'd ever been to an MPC gig you'd realise they do too ;)

  • I agree with this vid, yeah the similarities r obvious lol

  • Who cares? the Foo fighters dont take their videos seriously at all so what does it matter if its similar to somehting else out there? in the end of the day all it is, is a promotion for the song and i dont think im alone in saying Walk is a much better song than Human.

  • Their video is very similar except for the golf course scene and the police tazing him at the end.

  • @handsomejimuk I have seen some of the other genuis things you have written on other videos too. Come on mate do us all a favour and f**k off. We haven't got time for your silly bullshit. OH and while your at it if you are going to throw around insults to all in sundry make your profile public so you can reap what you sow... anyway back to the interesting peoples thoughts! I think this is amazing.

  • What? Holy shit! Who are these guys?! 17 million dollars...that was funny.

  • Both of these are rip-offs of "Eight and 1/2" 1963 opening and "Falling down" 1993 opening. Originality is dead, except it.

  • i'm just glad foo didnt "steal" the song too... cuz walk is three times better than human

  • These guys should be glad the Foo's "enhanced" their lesser version of the same video...I wouldnt know who the f*** these guys were in my life had it not been for the Foo's.

  • @HandsomeJimK Foo's director should be great full that he got to call in sick and hand in somebody else's home work, with a few changes. Foo's live can't hold a candle to MPC.

  • @HandsomeJimK and who you batting for Fooboy. Your Foos do something unoriginal and you use the defensive then offensive combo sprinkled with quotes from your angry grampa. MPC did it first. Here's one for angry grampa - opinions are like ass holes everybody's got one.

  • @DreMPC wow....I need to hire a mentally retarded 3rd grader to comprehend your drivel. I quit, you win. The joke is on the rest of the world, a few hundred MPC fans cant be wrong compared to millions of Foo Fighter fans. Im a man, if you were one as well...you wouldnt get so moist over some shit band called My Penile Complications..oops I mean MPC. Do you realize acronym or no acronym, the only reason theyre receiving ANY attention is because of the Foo's. Truth hurts.....for the win

  • @HandsomeJimK No need to bring your little brother into this, he can't help his condition. But please keep coming back and commenting. We appreciate your comments and visits and wise words. Get those numbers up for us on the page. We need all the help we can get. Thank you, no really thank you. You are a kind man with a big heart. Thank you for looking out for us. I can not thank you enough for visiting. Come back any time. "For the win" come on really?

  • @HandsomeJimK To argue one would need a capable opponent, this is more like swatting flies. Drink your juice box before it gets warm and you end up spending your whole 30 minute lunch break on our page arguing with a nobody that you wouldn't piss on if they were burning. See you in a few minutes.

  • @MPCTelevision bro...I OWN YOU....you know why...because you keep responding...just stfu and continue being a talentless no one...and I will stop flickin you off of the bottom of my kicks...

  • @DreMPC There's no way that the Foos knew that there was already a video so vaguely similar to their's. It's just a coincidence, the Foos did not "steal" from such a piece of SHIT video. They've probably never even heard of these poor excuses for artists, just like the rest of the world!!! No one gives a FUCK about multi-purpose dildoes, or whatever...this group of queers should actually be thanking the Foos if anything. So get over it whiney bitch.

  • Tal Bachman " shes so high" the beginning of walk is the basically the same thing.

  • Too bad the Foos version is way better.

  • @jakectisdale for a couple of million dollars as opposed to a hand held camera and couple of candy bars I sure hope the video is "way" better. Too bad Foo's is not very original.

  • wow. maybe this is the director's fault? Some directors comes with ideas they like. Foo Fighters dont have to know every video is out there.

  • Quite quite bizarre. And now I want to watch Falling Down again.

  • They're both ripping off Falling Down anyway, I mean did they even get permission from the film company?

  • Comment removed

  • @ianpasicolan I'm not really sure how it works, I mean both of them probably intended their videos as an homage but I don't know if they still needed permission. You often see music videos inspired by movies.

  • a mi me encanta foo fighters pero hay que ser realistas son iguales estos dos videos

  • After reading all these comments I would like to add a note. To the people who say, 'It cannot be stolen because the original was 'stolen' from the movie 'falling down' - are you for real?

Since when is making a 'Parody' of something theft? Movies such as 'Scary movie' 'Date movie' and all those others of the same vain are ALL parodies - yet art in their own right.

  • @TheAmazingTazini Amen.

  • Similar? Complete rip off of by the fighters. 2006 to 2011, nothing changed, same idea and a total copy. MPC has been ripped off.

  • @PropAlliance Same idea... probably coincidence or based on, but total copy? If it's really a total copy, the "Walk" video should have been the EXACT copy of the entire "Human" video.

  • I'm sorry, but who actually gives a shit?

  • @Olie23231 we do! you're british aintcha? wouldn't you like to see an awesome UK band get credit for their idea which was taken by a band who could shit in a bucket and sell a million copies? don't get me wrong, I still love foo fighters but still...

  • @CityOfFallenAngels Not really, because I think MPC are wank. Just my opinion. And both videos are already taken from falling down anyway, so neither of the groups can get the benefit of originality even though one did it before the other

  • Looking at both (good) videos... both just happened to be "Falling Down" homages, and there are definite bits of similarities. And I think those "middle finger" and "burger" scene parallels... it may be strange coincidence. It would be silly if this issue gets full attention by the media or whatever since it's not like the director of Foo Fighters' "Walk" didn't exactly copy everything from Multi-Purpose Chemical's "Human". That's not even plagiarism.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually it both took it from the 1993 Movie staring Michael Douglas Falling Down.

  • Yup both use the movie Falling Down as a starting point, however Multi Purpose Chemical's version had the guy giving the middle finger and the hamburger getting slammed in the face of the fast food attendant years before, that wasn't in the movie Falling Down at all. I think the Director of the Walk video must have had a glimpse of MPC's video when it was on MTV2 back in 2006. It's not the most illogical argument ever now is it? Both great videos but I'm standing by the original.

  • This does seem very weird doesn't it. I get that they're both versions of Falling Down but it's strange that they both do the burger in the face and the kid giving the finger in traffic thing. Those things aren't in Falling Down - MPC added them. It could be a coincidence I suppose - infinite number of monkeys and typewriters and all that - but it is extremely odd.

  • @Foodofthegodsable Kid giving a middle finger to somebody is deffintly not odd. and neither is the burger in the face.

  • @Foodofthegodsable they did it on purpose dumbasses

  • WHAT IN GODS NAME IS GOING ON. brilliant.

  • So foo fighters stole an idea that was already stolen? right... ¬_¬

  • Comment removed

  • The similarity is spooky between that video and the other video. It's obvious someone copied one or something, or if they didn't they did really.

  • Is that you Jim?

This is a chuckle isn't it?

  • You serious? They are both just copying the movie Falling Down with Michael Douglas - isnt that obvious?

  • @danisrob of course it is! But it's the idea to do it that was copied, as well as the manner in which it was done!

  • This is so true, what you're saying.

  • I hope this brings MPC to a forefront of somekind, fucking great band that sadly faded out of existence

  • DEFO STOLEN! the song doesn't even for the vid as well as MPC! Plus the MPC vid is actually better than the Foo's big budget attempt. Wonder if the Foos know about this? You should post this as a response vid to their's

MPC should reform even just as a protest!!!!!!

  • @pimpreport he didnt even play the whole video, theres so many parts missing. besides, stole what? i think it actually goes well with the video

on another note, you claim that they "DEFO" stole the video, but then youre not sure if they know about it or not? RIGHT! bunch of geniuses over here...

  • @jeanismohamed it's all in good fun :) I would have thought the request for WHSmiths vouchers off the Foo Fighters would have explained that :)

  • BigJimMPC. Gay?

It's all in good fun :)

  • @jeanismohamed haha nope. I'm Jim. I'm big. And I was in MPC. :)

  • @BigJimMPC It's fine. I just said it as a joke really. No really Jim. Really. It's fine.

  • @jeanismohamed i was wondering if the band knew about their director ripping off someone elses work!
