  • I challenge anyone who's an accomplished musician to play so freely as that. That to me is the really interesting thing about these guys is the way in which they can forget everything they know and totally break with convention. It may not be beautiful like a Mozart symphony, but music? Definitely.

  • They're kidding themselves on! Come on; it's a load of rubbish! "Avante Garde", I don't think so!

  • @Donnachie51 I understand. You don´t think. So ...

  • @ShaunMacSound Derek should have had lessons with you.

  • @ShaunMacSound Derek should have had lessons with you.

  • @ShaunMacSound DORK DORK DORKYEE ! DUMM DUMMM ASS ASSSS ! BLURP TSSS BRRRNNN DIS HONNNKKKY TOOOOOPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNKYYYYYYYYYYYY WOOOOAAAAIIIIEEEEAAAOOOOUUUUU ISSSSSSSSSS NNNNOOOOO 444RRRR UUUUUUUUU UUUUUU DMMMM ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

  • Love Derek's tone on this performance!

  • Metallica has Seattle 89, KISS has Detroit 92, Van Halen has New Haven 86, and Derek Bailey has Knitting Factory 95

  • @nashvilleraidersfan Stupid joke / comparisson. In he 80´s dozens of essential metal bands from the NWOBHM played in very very small clubs in England for 20, 50 100 people, bands which are extremely important to Metal as Metallica - and very few people know them. If playing in huge arenas is proof of something, Lady Gaga should be considered bigger than Slayer. Justin Biebber should be bigger than, let´s say, Anvil or Diamond Head or Blitzkrieg.

  • I do not know why people worry so much with something they do not like. I think they are ' time waisters ' in a professional level.

  • @freeavantgardevideos I think you misunderstood him...

  • @thatsmypeanuts Well, maybe. We´ll never know as he never replied. And it is a fact that too many people try to put down many music styles that they do not understand or appreciate, so my mind is prepared to that, to interpretate almost everytime as if the person is trying to make an irony, specially if the person makes a ' not so clear ' comment. To me, this guy made an irony with Bailey and Oxley. I accept: maybe I can be wrong, maybe. Thx.

  • @freeavantgardevideos If you read all commentaries on this video you will see that many are making stupid ironies or commentaries, for example, one asked where is the ' one ' here and another guy said he would ask for his money back . I think that nowadays too many people are extremely worried with criticizing, loosing their free times with that.

  • @freeavantgardevideos The joke wasn't about the venue, but how "iconic" Derek's "performance" was.

  • Too commercial!

  • this reminds meof a band from new york called Z's.

  • What a great duo.

  • Sheffield's finest master-craftsmen at work. Wonderful!

  • caveat auditor

  • stale stale stale

  • Where's "one"?

  • Is '' one '' necessary here?

  • @OLugs if you need a one (not the point here), you can find many of them....try 3:17 for instance-that is a pretty clear "one"

  • I would have asked for my money back.

  • They would give it back, ´cause your money means nothing to them. Your money and your ears.

  • @guitarbr0 Why would you have paid for something about which you knew nothing? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

  • @guitarbr0 I was there and certainly did not ask for my money back, I wished in fact I could give these guys more money for their courage, bravery and "avant-garde"-ness!!!!!!!

  • Great!!!

  • ok,la musica è viva,e questi personaggi fanno in modo che non si involgarisce, perche oggi la musica, eccetto questa è volgare...
